Mythos, the Hellenic beer
Yup, probably the most famous beer from Greece. Hitting hard on the Mythic past of the Ancients.
But the funny thing is, I knew nothing about it until I went to Greece. To Corfu Island.
It was right after the night I got my first blockchain account. Two years and about a month ago. Five days I spent on Corfu Island, A.K.A. Kerkyra, if you're local. And it was mid-August. And it was hot.
I have to admit, my experience with beers is not that vast. And I am nowhere near an expert as my brother. But I know when I experience something special. And, I know that comes along with the right moment. When the stars align...
All right, when the Hot Summer Sun aligns with me traveling around, a stop along the way to quench one's thirst is best remembered. A perfectly cold beer in the perfect moment. As if by some script. Then, that beer felt like some mythic elixir, indeed.
But since I was busy drinking it, I took no pictures on that high noon hour. The photos are from an evening before that, actually.
When I tried focusing on the label, the first thing that grabbed my attention. And it was some great example of branding — neat, elegant, fitting.
Anyway, that moment, the one by day, stays as the most satisfactory beer experience I've had so far. Always to be remembered and associated with a beautiful trip.
I am still happy I can now find the brand on the local market where I live.
And I have never been disappointed by Mythos.
