It is always a red flag for me when I start writing with the word 'because', of course it is not here now since I quickly deleted it and restarted this new post.
Whole day brownout. From six AM to six PM, a twelve hour window where the electricity company has to do maintenance on the electric grid? Or the generator. Perfect timing since there is a Typhoon just off shore of the Philippines.
Serendipity? Or just a way to ensure the electricity equipment is not damaged in case it suddenly veers off course and head into the heart of the country.
No chance of course since I can see it moving in a direction with a momentum seen through its mass of kinetic energy.
I wanted to see the progress of the typhoon so did a quick internet search and found this map online and I have to say it is an awesome site.
It is frightening to see the image especially when it could just as easily do a change direction if there are changes to the air pressure somewhere or something else but I am not an expert so I can only hypothesize.
Now back to a day where there are no electricity. Even thought the whole of Catarman had no electricity, my aunties place is equipped with an industrial machine strapped with a large dynamo to produce their own electricity. What a blessing to have something like that, but the consequence is the loud drone of the machine.
There is a silver lining to it though. Because it was so danged loud, when I was on my laptop I was actually very productive. No distractions. No pauses. Just me and the keyboard letting my fingers do the walking.
Lesson for me?
Any time there is a loud noise, it is better to think of it in a positive light than to complain and be unproductive because you are too busy to actually do the work you are being paid to do. This also applies to people who works for themselves. The grind is only possible if you are able to turn a negative into a positive.
I think that is how you say something to someone with their head down, waiting to just drown.
Well I best leave it here since I need t have a good long rest.
Planning on getting a surf lesson tomorrow in preparation for my trip to Eastern Samar.
Laters.
