The new year is a new beginning that opens the first page of the next chapter in our life. Leaving all the past behind and facing the now could be a fresh start to a brand new and better version of ourselves.
Hello, all the wonderful people of this amazing community! I hope all of us here are in good shape whether in body, mind, and soul. We have to start everything right for it sets the standard as to what happens in the incoming days to come.
Before I will start my blog today allow me to greet you with a HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. May you have a prosperous New Year there together with your loved ones. So, without much a do I am very excited to share with you how we celebrated our new year. This is the first time that we have spent our new year together as a family in our humble abode. Sit back and have fun reading until the end guys.
THE PREPARATION...
My husband was in charge of buying the necessary things to buy. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to take pictures there because there were massive of people doing the shopping. He just wanted to focus on the things he will buy for that day. I cannot accompany him because I am the one taking care of our son.
So, my contribution to this preparation was I simply sliced the spices needed for the menu being cooked by my husband. I am not into cooking and Yeah! It is my husband who will cook for us. I am so grateful for having him as always. God knows I needed someone like him. In designed ways, we meet each other (Yay!).
IT'S COOKING TIME...
This is our simple kitchen in the meantime where my husband usually does his cooking. I am thankful he allowed me to take pictures while he did it. This was one of the menus he was cooking, the rest I never mind disturbing him because I am afraid that he might be pissed off with me. But my husband is kind it's just that I gave him time to do his task at his best.
WHAT ELSE HE BOUGHT?...
Aside from the fruits, food, and drinks he bought. He never forgets to buy these fireworks. There are only a group of sellers who are authorized to sell these kinds of fireworks. That is why he never came home without finding them and bringing this stuff.
THE CELEBRATION...
The moment the clock turns to midnight, my son started to blow his horn-shaped trumpet. He was awake until such time because he was sleeping the whole afternoon. We intended for him to do it for that purpose so that he will still be awake as we welcome the new year together. He enjoyed holding the Bengal firework as well. It's his first time so he was having fun of it.
FIREWORKS DISPLAY...
Woah! I was a bit afraid of this setup by my husband. But thank God in the end it turned out okay. We enjoyed witnessing the lovely fireworks displayed that night in our place. Our neighbors have lighted some fireworks also. So our place was having a festive new year indeed.
My husband was the happiest, why? Because it's the first time that he spent his new year in the Philippines. Before, he usually spent it abroad since it was his means of living and working there. I as her wife was also the happiest for him. I can see it in his eyes, his behavior during that time how happy and blissful he was.
We prepared something on our table as well. It is our tradition to have some beliefs while welcoming the first day of the year. I knew it from my grandmother then. I know there is no harm in doing this but everything lies in our hands. We don't need to depend on the beliefs we have known. Working hard for all the goals in life with our hardest prayers in achieving them is a must thing to do.
THE GRANDEST GIFT WE RECEIVE THIS NEW YEAR...
Earlier this day... My husband bought a pregnancy test since my monthly visitor didn't come. I am one week delayed from the expected day for it to occur. So, we have the feeling that this is it! He was the one doing the test and I did take pictures while he did it. Somehow, we were both nervous as to what was the result but we're hopeful that may it be POSITIVE... Hurray! We were pregnant!
This is one of the most precious gifts we received this year. My husband told me to take care of him/her since he will be away for the next month to come to work again. He will not be present during my pregnancy period now but this is not new to me at all. Back then, during my first pregnancy as well he was away when my stomach was turning 3 months at the time. Thank God everything was okay. To God be the Glory!
That's all for today's blog my dear fellow hivers! I hope you enjoyed reading it. Thank you for the time you have spent reading this. Until next time, see you around. Stay safe and God bless.
