Hey, everyone!
I still can't believe that I have now a job as a site engineer and project in-charge on site. It was a rush decision, so I never really had a preparation when I was starting my job.
One thing that I find difficult was the question "where should I stay?" I always thought of renting an apartment where I could find a week before I start a job.
But since it was rush, I had no time for it.
In the first week of my job, I had to stay at the house of my girlfriend — yes, I'm with her family at the first week. I stayed with them, good thing is, her family is very supportive and let me stay with them. They are even the one who told me to stay until I find an apartment — or just stayed with them so I can save.
I was shy, but I had no choice.
I can stay on-site, there is a barracks, or just stay at the house (our project) itself since it is already livable and at the finishing stage, but what I find difficult is the toilet and bathroom.
Call me whatever you want but I just can't live in that setup.
Everyday, I look for an apartment online nearby the site, then on my day off, I tried looking in person.
I had to asked for an apartment with people, but their offer is just out of my budget. Some are ₱ 5,000.00 - ₱ 8, 000.00 per month, there are ₱ 1,500.00 per month but you have to share the same bathroom with many people which is not really my thing.
Until I found my current apartment.
It is ₱ 4,000.00 having 1 bedroom, own toilet and bathroom, spacious living room, and submeter (no added fee).
It is for a family.
It is expensive knowing that I will only stay there just to sleep, but the comfort that you can have is what you are paying.
The only problem that I see is that it is 4-5 minutes away from the road. The way also gives a "iskwater" feels but once you reach the house, it is fine because it has its own fence wall which is also spacious. You have a neighbor and the caretaker of the apartment in case you need some help.
But most of the time, I'm afraid of going outside especially at night because there might be drug addicts or what.
Anyway, those are the things that just makes me feel uncomfortable but the room, space, and apartment itself gives the comfort that I want.
I know that my wallet will be burned by rent and bills so I also find the way to earn more!
That's it!
Thank you for reading:)
