Hey guys, it’s me Cherry Ann Gallardo proudly from the Home of Beauty and Beyond —6036, Barili, Cebu.
Anyways, I’ll be humbly sharing you a little background of mine. If 10 x 2 + 3 equals 23, then probably that’s my age. I’m the only sister among four brothers, raised with so much love by our single mother. (She’s single because our dad passed away by suicide back in 2017. I don’t know the reason why. Hey there dad, we miss you. )
Moving on, I graduated from college in the academic year 2023-2024 with a Bachelor in Technology and Livelihood Education, major in Home Economics. I'm praying to have that license this year, balancing while working as a Call Center agent. Just this March 23, it was my greatest heartbreak while seeing those passers, I hope that I’ll be one of them. I was just dismayed since my school wasn’t able to provide COPC and that’s the reason why I wasn’t able to take the board exam for teachers. I was dismayed with people, but a lesson to have barriers, to have limitations.
Anyway, let me share to you my hobbies. I do silhouette paintings, I sing and compose a simple songs, I love to play music instruments but instruments didn’t like me, haha. Those hobbies serve as my coping mechanism, whenever I need peace and when whirlwind of thoughts occupying. Right now , I’m still directing snd fulfilling my dreams that I can say in my vernacular language, “pobre ko, maningkamot ko ug kab-uton nako,” and it holds strength in this phrase , a determination rooted in my perseverance. Let me share and emphasize this quote from Anonymous, “Success never comes easy and struggle is necessary in order to get to the top.” And yes, I will coz I have to since life isn’t handed us a silver platter.
Anyway, I have a dog named Tangol, inspired by a Filipino movie. He’s so clingy whenever I get home, always leaving paw prints on my denim pants, asking for food and playtime. Some people say having a pet can lead to heartbreak in the end, and indeed, it does. But I pray for his long life.
Additionally, I had betta fish, but they all died because of Super Typhoon Odette, which hit our region. Now, I plan to have them again in our home, as they bring happiness and help lift my mood whenever I’m feeling down.
I also had a pair of hamsters, given to me by my instructor during my fourth year of college at Cebu Technological University–Barili Campus. I took good care of them until they had pups, but over time, they all died because of our cat, who was always watching them. According to what people say, if hamsters feel threatened, unsafe, or uncomfortable, they may eat their pups.

You know why Im here at HIVE?
My cousin introduced me to this platform, knowing that I love vlogging and making videos. So why not give writing a try? Is this the so called vlogging to blogging?
So I grab this, even if I have a lot of errors, since it’s a way for me to enhance or develop my skill. But guys, you’re always welcome to approach/critique and correct me in private as long as it’s done in a good way. Mistakes didn’t scare me; it shapes me. So anyway, I’ll be expecting here that I can showcase my talents, building friends and I can come out of my shell.
Here at HIVE your not alone but there are people, communities and soon to be your friends that you will encounter. Even if I’m new to this platform but sir @intoy.bugoy guided us throughout the process. He shared what is HIVE and how it works. During the orientation, it was discussed about basics, the interconnected world, and the do’s and don't s of HIVE.
I learnt that we have a space to write , t express our thoughts and to share our daily lives and can even inspire people in the world through writing.
