Hello friends in Hive! I hope you are feeling great today as you read about our experience going to the transient house in Baguio City.
When the three rented vans arrived at Clark International Airport, we decided who would be riding together in each van. My wife and I chose the 3rd van together with Ma'am Delia, our former public schools district supervisor, and Ma'am Judith and her daughter, Isa. We're all seven passengers in our van, including our kids. We asked our driver, Kuya Ayie, how much time we needed to arrive at our destination. He mentioned that it will take 3 to 4 hours, depending on the traffic.
Jehoia played in the phone while waiting for the snacks.
Our first stop from Clark International Airport was the Station Mall.
We had to stop at a fast food chain for snacks. We decided to buy at Chowking while others went to Jollibee. It was a heavy snack since we do not know when we will arrive at our transient house. Our driver told us that we would be taking the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) and the Kennon Road going to Baguio City. We were amazed by the rice plantations in Hacienda Luisita. It's a huge area located in Tarlac.
Leeza's Restaurant
We had our second stop at Pangasinan. Leeza's Restaurant offers bulalo, seafood, and goat dishes. Beside it are stalls that offer delicacies, including tupig, which costs 10 pesos per piece. We tried it since it's new to us. It's like the budbod in Cebu, but it's grilled and has some coconut meat. We then continued our trip, going up to our destination. Kuya Ayie informed us that he will be turning off the air conditioning unit of the vehicle once we reach the top part of the mountain to give the vehicle more energy to climb up the steep terrain road.
It's good that Ioseph fell asleep during the travel. He could not feel dizzy and could not vomit.
When we were near the city, we felt the coldness of the place. We passed by areas with landslides that covered one lane of the road. It was also raining, and it made me think of danger since it keeps climbing to the top of the mountain and the road is wet. We just passed the lion's king, one of the attractions of the city when you take the Kennon Road. When we entered the heart of the city, we saw the SM Baguio with beautiful lights. We also see a colorful ferris wheel near it. It was a busy road, but we could observe the disciplined motorists in the city. They give and take the opportunity to cross corners. Our van went straight, but we had already passed the corner going to our transient house. We went back to the road, and the other two vans were waiting for us.
We were glad we arrived. We went out of the vehicle, but we were dropped at the wrong place. We needed to take a little walk up to another corner. We located our transient house before 8 in the evening. We then discussed who will stay on the ground floor and who will be staying on the 3rd floor. Each room is like a house. You will enter the living room. Beside it is the kitchen, and there are three bedrooms available. Ma'am Felin and her family chose a room good for four people. Ma'am Delia and Ma'am Judith chose the biggest room, which has a toilet inside of it. We occupied the last room, which is quite big for the four of us. The others proceeded to the third floor.
We changed our clothes and had our dinner. We still had some food from Chowking, and we just shared it with the kids. We were still full since we took a heavy snack at three in the afternoon. Isa turned on the television, and our kids watched with her. I like our transient house because it has a lot to offer, like kitchen utensils and equipment. We can just cook whatever we want. It also offers a strong WiFi connection. There's no air-conditioning unit available; there's no need to have one since the place is cold. Other members of the team went outside for some strolling. We declined their invitation to go to the night market. Our kids were tired, and they needed to take a rest.
We were full of joy as we arrived at our destination safely. It made us more excited to visit attractions in the city and the nearby town. We told the kids to sleep well so they could recharge their energy for the next day's itinerary.
I appreciate your time reading this. Keep updated on the next day's activities. LOVELOTS.
