Sneak Peek to Our Mini Lettuce Farm

This is the reason of why I'm not too active to PeakD for weeks now.
We've been busy setting up our mini lettuce farm.

This post is just a sneak peek. I will post on different post of how this system works.

We don't have much money to start a business but the motivation for making small money while enjoying life, this is our solution.

A months ago after I've gather small funds from my post here on PeakD, I need to make sure that the money I've earned must not be wasted and must go for a productive way to earn more and sustain life.

Believe or not, we just started this small business with a contribution of 2,000 pesos each. My partner here is my friend @nickampante.
The expenses covers the building of the greenhouse and other essential things to start this business. I am very lucky that I have friend that gave me steel pipes. That excluded to our expenses.

At first, I consider to take down my favorite spot of my garden and convert it to our small lettuce farm. But, I think a lot. Weeks have passed just to decide on what better options to have our lettuce farm and still have my favorite spot intact.

The solution is to make the "Lettuce on the Sky". Hanging above my favorite place of the garden.

After a month of setting up, taking care of the plants and promoting on my subdivision facebook group, we got our first customers.

Thanks to my friends who's supporting me.

We started planting less than 50 plants of lettuce. We still needs to test of how it will work. And as the process succeeds, we decided to expand the quantity.

And after selling all the lettuce, we bought a thousand seeds pack and expand the plants quantity to almost 130 plants. That's the maximum quantity that fits on the space.

And started sowing again, now it's 128 seeds.
There are 5 seeds not germinated.

While waiting for the seeds to be ready to transplant, we prepared the self watering pots. And before the seedlings are ready to be transplanted, we completed the preparations from making the self watering pots, sterilizing the coco peat and preparing the nutrient solution.
