Hello fellow Hivers! I'm excited to make my first post here on HivePH. Although I joined peakd back in April, I've mainly shared my drawings with other communities. Today, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone to share something unique with this wonderful community - my unforgettable journey to Anda, Bohol. This trip was a spontaneous adventure. My uncle had a hunch that a beach day would be fantastic, and without much thought, our 'boys only' group hopped into the car at the crack of dawn (5 am) to embark on this unexpected escapade. Initially, I underestimated the distance, assuming it would be a short drive, but I was in for a surprise - it took a solid 2 hours!
As a naturally curious person, I couldn't resist capturing the moments along the way. I snapped photos from inside the car, attempting to freeze the passing scenery. Admittedly, some of these shots turned out a bit blurry, owing to the challenges of capturing moving landscapes. Bohol's landscape is incredibly captivating; it boasts an aesthetic charm that's hard to ignore. In my humble opinion, it almost resembles Japan (not that I've been there, just going by what I've seen), especially with its frequent farms that seem to be everywhere, meticulously maintained and distinctly tidy. The architectural style of the houses sets it apart, though ours differs from Japan's in a unique way.
Our arrival at the beach happened around 7 or 8 in the morning.
The sight that greeted us was surreal - a pristine beach all to ourselves. It felt like our personal paradise. I could try to describe it through a photo, but trust me, the experience transcends any image. The sand was remarkably white and had a texture so fine that it resembled iodized salt - "ang pino," as they say in Tagalog or Bisaya.
I couldn't resist taking random shots, capturing a lone bird,
intricate sandcup castle creations,
and even some peculiar sea balls I stumbled upon.
Before diving into the refreshing waters, our growling stomachs led us to a local eatery. Our lack of preparation meant we hadn't packed any food or water, leaving us famished and thirsty after the long drive.
I skipped the group photo moment to safeguard my phone, as it was a recent acquisition and I couldn't risk losing it in the ocean.
To wrap up my beach adventure tale, I wholeheartedly recommend Anda, Bohol as a must-visit tourist spot - a solid 10/10. The sand's exquisite beauty is impossible to convey through mere pictures.
