I am so glad that @hiro-hive introduced me to this community. This is a great platform where I can still explore more and expand my zone.
I am Ferry Junio, and in my golden years, I’m just starting to appreciate and enjoy reaching out to people who are total strangers.
Through this channel, I am looking forward, we will become acquainted with each other by sharing interests and moments.
I am a homebody and have lots of inhibitions, but I’ve changed my perception and realized that you don’t need to create boundaries for what you want to do.
It requires courage to show up, regardless of what other people might think or say about you. Showing up is already a brave step.
That’s why I’m here — another avenue to express what’s in my mind and to showcase my talents in cooking, writing, and exploring places.
I truly believe it's an advantage because you gain friends along the way.
In my golden years, I need to keep my mind active to prevent the deterioration of my brain cells.
I have a better half who is very supportive of my endeavors, and children who walk with me in my dreams.
They inspire me to keep going.
At present, I am just a plain housewife. But before, I worked as an OFW abroad — specifically in Abu Dhabi.
For 12 years, I worked as a service crew member at Intercontinental Hotel and Radisson Hotel.
I was obliged to leave my family to help my husband support our three children in school.
Staying in the Philippines to work was not enough to sustain their college education.
I had to bear the pain of being a mother away from her family.
I left them when they were still in elementary school. I missed so many special moments in their lives — birthdays, graduations, and other occasions.
I wasn’t by their side during their happy times. I wasn’t there when they needed a mom during their downfalls, successes, or times of uncertainty.
But I had to make decisions and choices every day. I needed to think of their future.
During my journey, I am so blessed that God gave me strength.
His love and grace made me strong and determined.
I give the highest praise and glory to our Almighty God.
A million thanks to Him that all my sacrifices paid off.
My children grew up on the right path, even in my physical absence during their adolescence and maturity.
Now, my eldest is working as a baker in a prestigious coffee shop in the Philippines.
My daughter is at the peak of her career in one of the country’s famous airlines.
And my youngest son is a senior project consultant — he is an architect.
I have one grandson through my daughter, and the boys are still single.
I’m looking forward to more surprises.
And in everything in life, I pray to our All-Powerful God that He will continue to guide and protect us — and may we always act according to His will.
Thanks be to God.
This is a glimpse of who I am and what I’ve gone through. Life may not always be easy, but with love, faith, and family — every sacrifice becomes worth it. I may be in my golden years now, but that doesn’t stop me from learning, growing, and sharing my story.
I am excited for what lies ahead, for the friendships I’ll build here, and the joy of connecting with people who share the same interests. May God continue to guide and protect us all, and may everything we do be aligned with His will.
TO GOD BE THE HIGHEST PRAISE AND HONOR!!!
