It is likely true. Those who use AI indiscriminately, and not enough their brain, will end up being dependent of AI, and having a lower and lower intellectual capacity of their own. Therefore, if used (like I use it for coding), you can't get entirely with the flow, and you need to be in control and make sure you understand what's going on and be the one driving the conversation, not the other way around. There were many times when I "caught" the AI providing incredibly worse solutions than the ones I had in mind.
