Hi everyone! The classic traditional and beloved Filipino sweet treat, Maja Blanca (or Maja Bance) combines coconut milk, cornstarch, and sugar to create its creamy, soft, and slightly wobbly texture, sweet coconut flavor, and tender corn kernels.
It's a cornstarch-based pudding similar to blancmange, but distinctly Filipino thanks to its core ingredients.
In this video, I am making Maja Blanca because my niece in the USA asked me to show her how. She really wants to learn it! When I started to make Maja Blanca for the first time, I thought it would be very difficult to prepare, but actually it's very easy and doesn't take much effort at all.
After making it I sold this batch to some of my customers in Hong Kong. You know, they prefer if it's not that sweet and also has a good texture.
