Hello, I am Gen
I am new to Hive and will be very happy to meet new nice people here.
I am from the Philippines but currently living in Hong Kong working as a domestic helper. As a single mother I need this job to provide the needs of my beloved son who is staying in the Philippines with my auntie.
My hobbies are:
Cooking
I love to cook and sell food. Yes you heard it right! Here in Hong Kong selling is not suitable for us because our job is not to do business but to work at home as a domestic helper. But I sell for extra income as I love cooking. My purpose is to help other co-Filipinas to get yummy food for affordable prices. Some employers are not giving enough food to their helpers. So I do this out of passion and my wish to help others.
Sports
I love to play tennis just for fun.
Apart from that I like to jog, swim, do gym and also yoga if time allows.
Writing
I like to write short stories. Well, yes I love writing about my own journey everyday. As I take note what is a good thing that I am grateful for. It helps me to move forward in my daily routine with joy in my heart.
I am using facebook and write there daily (this is my facebook page), but I hope I can learn better and better how to use Hive and write there more often in future.
The photos in this post stem from my facebook account, but in future I plan to write posts which contain photos that are published only on Hive.
Dancing
I love to dance, sing and listen to music! I am not into stepping of being a very great dancer but I love to dance on my own version. It helps me feel so good and relaxed.
Nature
Hiking is one of the things I really love to do. If I feel so weak and down I love to be within nature and just being alone. I always wanted to be alone in nature. Spending time and listening to the sounds of the nature surroundings. It helps my brain to be more clear and to focus on what I need into my life. Sometimes we feel so devastated but nature is one of my helpers.
