Selfies from the Past!
Hi Hive friends! Do you ever look back at old photos of yourself? How does it make you feel?
Wow! Today, I don't have much to say — but while scrolling through my camera roll, I found selfies from some years ago. Seeing them now, I realize how much I have changed. Back then, I always put effort into looking my best. And of course, I am not saying we should stop doing things to feel good about ourselves — like visiting the salon for a fresh hairstyle or treating ourselves now and then.
But compared to these days? I have realized that as we grow older, our priorities shift. Now, all I want is to save money for the future — for retirement, for unexpected health issues, for being able to support my family, for my future food selling busines (yes, that's my big dream!) or whatever life may bring.
I also am more aware how important it is to stay healthy and fit by paying more attention to my nutrition and doing more sports!
Before, I used more make up and beauty cream for my face and I'd get my hair straightened every six months. Now? I am happy with my natural look, even if I don’t always comb my hair, haha! Nowadays, to me, saving money and spending on nutritious food is far more important than just looking good on the outside. Maybe I just don't care so much anymore about what other people might think about me?
Did you notice similar changes in your priorities over time?
