- Blogging Contests for the Month of October
This month is focused on developing your financial literacy skills by starting financial habits. The goal here is to reflect on your financial decisions daily. If you just make up numbers to suit a posting contest, there's no way we could verify it to be real. Lokohin mo nalang sarili mo for cents to a few dollars worth of content, para naman to sa mga taong gusto mag improve at magpapakatotoo. If you're already doing these habits, good, madali lang mag post about it.
1st Week: Daily Expense Tracking
Download a budget tracker app, or keep track of your daily expenses assigning them in different categories. Do this for the first 7 days and reflect what you learned from tracking your budget daily. So I expect yung post would be published around Day 8 of the month at least. Yung mga gagawa ng draft dyan in advance like I realized the importance of my spending eme eme, luh.
2nd Week: Making an Important Financial Decision
Open a bank account, invest in stocks, buy more crypto, or reading about financial books. Anything related to self improvement for your financial health that you have done recently. The post should also include your daily tracking up to that point. Baka mag post ka 12 days into the month pero pakitaan mo kami ng budget tracking worth 8 days, halatang pre-made, effort rin to keep the data updated.
3rd Week: Formulate A Budget Plan
Google how to do it and then apply the principles using the data you've gathered for the past 2 weeks. Paano naman if you forgot to track on certain days dahil napasobra sarap sa spending? try to estimate your costs nalang. This is an exercise to help you improve financially with an added incentive for a prompt to post about.
4th Week: A Reflection on Implementing Your Budget Plan and Summary of the Data you gathered for the past 30 days.
Include niyo na rin plano niyo for the succeeding weeks if you learned something from the event. It takes a few days of repitition to make an activity a habit. If wala kayong natutunan from the experience dahil tinamad kayo mag budget at mag track, ok lang, submit lang ng post na di ka sumunod at tinamad ka, reflection rin yan.

- Christmas Party Plans
It's in the plan to start a Christmas party either virtual or face to face for this community. If all goes well, this will be the first Christmas party the community had since creation (2 years). We're trying to increase the community fund to have more giveaways for everyone as much as possible. If you noticed something about the August and July reports, the community doesn't have a large income stream.
The goal is 450 HBD. Why 450 HBD? it's just overshooting the previous goal of 250 HBD. December is a month where natural disasters like typhoons happen. We're not asking for tragedies to happen but when they do, I'd like this community to be prepared to shell out some of its funds for the common good. We're not going to spend it all for the event. You're welcome to set the community @hivephilippines as beneficiary for your post or give direct donations with a memo so we can account it all.
