HivePH is a group of Filipino bloggers and crypto-enthusiasts with the mission of helping others become successful here on the #Hive platform. The weekly blogging contest is one of the ways we aim to do this. As we approach the end of the year, we wanted to put out more content via a lighter themed approach that would attract more people to join in the fun. We were successful in this regard and extremely happy with the submissions.
The first topic for November's blogging contest is:
Here are the entries:
1. Deliverance: My 2022 Paranormal Horror Experience
Mula kay: @eunoia101

After the prayer vigil, we were tasked to close all the doors and windows, and only a few will be inside to witness. As I pretend to be brave enough to fill my stomach with curiosity, they have these words that come to their mouth, something I understand because it is Iloko dialect, another English, and others I wasn't familiar with. They are all talking in that words, one by one. It's getting fastest and faster.
2. Aghast: Childhood Spooky Experience.

3. My Real-life experience with Ghosts.
Mula kay: @xanreo

In my dream, I was at our school, and I was in the playground. I was staring at the swing that had no one sitting on it but was moving alone. Then there is this scary and unexpected thing that happens to me. I can't stop myself from walking in my dream. I am crying because I can't stop myself from walking to go near that swing that still keeps moving. Thanks to God! Because I finally opened my eyes and stopped me from going near the swing, but... when I opened my eyes, I was shocked because I was now near the door, I was standing, and both of my hands are numb. And because I was scared, I went back to where I was sleeping and tried to sleep again.
4. Horror Story: The Call from the Unknown
Mula kay: @ruffatotmeee

She has no idea that I am afraid of a ghost and that washing the dishes at night is what I hate the most. That I always imagine that someone might appear in front of me wearing a bloody white dress while floating in the air to get me, anytime. Or what if it is actually a beast. But not just that; what's really frightened me is that someone is always calling me like she or he is calling me this way. Tell me if you also experience this.
5. The Girl in the Hallway | A Paranormal Encounter
Mula kay: @yzamazing

After taking the pictures, we headed on to the training room, and while waiting for the trainer to arrive, I asked my friend if I could check the pictures that we had just taken, and when I was scrolling through his phone, I was surprised by what I saw.
6. And We Call Her Sarah
Mula kay: @kneelyrac

After graduation, I worked in research and development at the university and the office was in the engineering building. Iligan City, known for its hydroelectric power plant Maria Cristina Falls, always experienced a rotational brownout. The building didn't have a generator, so when that happened, we were chilling and sharing some scary stories until the power was back. I've heard a lot about Sarah, especially from those who have been in the research for 3 years already. They always said that she will say hi to us if we start working overnight.
7. The black-shadowed lady in my wooden window
Mula kay: @dennnmarc

Instead of shouting and wrapping myself with a blanket, I sat on my bed and touched the black lady. I couldn’t reach her so much, but it was enough for me to feel her presence. This young man of yours even asked, "Ano bang ginagawa mo dito? (What do you do here?)" I do not know why I asked that question, but I know I had to if I wanted an answer. She didn’t reply back. She stood still until I turned back to get the flashlight on the right side of my pillow, and when I looked back at her again, she wasn’t there anymore.
8. My constant Visitor at Night.
Mula kay: @lhes

With that, I hurriedly opened our door, picked up Jen in the bed, and stormed outside our room! I was already crying; who was that silhouette? I was so scared! Was it a man? ( My Mom had a boy's hair cut, so I thought it was her).
That night, we slept beside my parents, which lasted for a month before I got the courage to return to our room—praying that it would not happen again.
9. Week #1 Contest: Encounters From the Unseen
Mula kay: @ayane-chan

Do you know a feeling that someone is watching behind your back but you can't see who is it? I got this feeling during my first month and it doesn't stop there. Sometimes, the door would slowly open with a creaking sound in the guest room. It would be forcefully shut in her son's bedroom where he doesn't use anymore. I was the only person up there since I'm the only one allowed, can't blame anyone who pull such pranks on me. At first, I was still silent about it because I thought that it was just all in my mind.
10. Why I hate November
Mula kay: @bluepark

It is because it is during November that horror stories are retold, reposted in online media and even celebrated (aka Halloween). I am a scaredy cat. I am scared of horror stories, eerie sounds from horror videos and scary faces of unknown entities even if those are not real. I don't like seeing these kinds of things and often I would scroll fast my newsfeed when I can sense that a post is about spooky stories. I am never a fan of horror movies or documentaries. If I watch one, surely in my sleep I would literally hide under my blanket the whole night. 😆😆
For the first week, the winner is:
@kneelyrac and her story, "And We Call Her Sarah".
In addition to the prize from the Hive PH Community, you will get 1,000 Ecency Points thanks to @melinda010100 and the @ecency team. We really appreciate the support.
We had fun reading the submissions for the first week's blogging topic contest. Unfortunately, there can only be one winner. Then again, all of us are already winners because we will be getting rewards from our entries through the upvotes we get no matter what.
That's it for this announcement post. If you want to join our weekly blogging contests, you may click here for the November topics.
