HivePH is a group of Filipino bloggers and crypto-enthusiasts with the mission of helping others become successful here on the #Hive platform. The weekly blogging contest is one of the ways we aim to do this. As we approach the end of the year, we wanted to put out more content via a lighter themed approach that would attract more people to join in the fun. We were successful in this regard and extremely happy with the submissions.
The theme for the 2nd week's blogging contest:
And, here are the entries:
1. "Remembering The Departed"
Mula kay: @breepickledoodle

Flowers have to be withered, trees need to let go of their leaves, seasons may fade, and as our life shall be. We have a limited time on this Earth, our goals and dreams make us strive harder to achieve it, people may suffer, and some may be content and happy with their current state of life. This reality we live in has a limit, but dreams are meant for eternity. Our body may die but the soul shall wander endlessly.
2. Blinded In Love.
Mula kay: @kelzyspeaks

Lolo was so furious that he kicked the door and we saw them both shocked. Lolo get his long dagger and was about to stab the guy but he jumped out the window. My step-grandmother cried out loud and beg to Lolo to stop. Lolo cries in anger but after that day they were okay again.
3. Undas 2022: Remembering All The Departed
Mula kay: @pinkchic

All Souls Day is a day of remembrance for all the souls who have died, including friends, relatives, and family members. On the other hand, All Souls Day is a celebration of all martyrs and saints. But Filipinos all over the country have a distinction in remembering the departed.
4.My Worst Enemy and my Greatest Ally
Mula kay: @chikakiku

She's the most thoughtful person I ever know, there's nothing in this world that could replace her. Imagine that she's the only person who greeted me on my birthday, no one remembers it even my family, no one greeted me on social media and I feel sad about it. Then she approached me and greeted me with a smile. I find it too corny for her to show such kindness to me but I let her cause it was my birthday, she told me that we gonna hang out and go to the market, that's the moment that I wish didn't happen.
5. Remembering the Departed | Gone So Young, Gone Too Soon
Mula kay: @ruffatotmeee

Losing someone you are very close to is sad. But what's saddest is when you lose them without even seeing them, in their last moment. And worse, you will only see them when they are already inside the coffin, lifeless and unmoving. And you can just cry at the sight in grievance.
6. Was Once A Lolo's Little Girl
Mula kay: @kneelyrac

I was one of the boys and was always with them from morning until afternoon. I was a naughty kiddo who loved to tease her grandpa. When I heard him shouting my name to go home already, I would run away from him instead of going home right away. I didn't know he was sick, but he loved to chase me around. I only knew he was always at home sitting by the window.
7. Remembering the Departed
Mula kay: @devowriter

Someone has said that we can never really move on from the death of a loved one. The pain will always be there. The absence will always be felt. What we do experience as time goes by is to get along with the pain and the absence. To take it as part of our new normal. It's likened to a newly extracted tooth - you can hardly miss its absence. But sooner or later, you'll get used to it.
8. Dead becomes alive
Mula kay: @jenthoughts

It was new year when we had our family worship to thanks God for our life in the entire year and asking His guidance and blessings again for the new year. Part of our program is to give message or share some experiences about the blessings we have received. When it is his turn to give a message, we were surprised because he said "My children, please forgive me the way I disciplined you before."
9. HivePH Week 2 Entry: Remembering the Departed
Mula kay: @judevillarta

I remember that night with the last coffee date while catching up with everything, she shared that she finally found the right guy and how lucky she was with him, and I also shared how mine was going on smoothly as well, we just laughed at our broken days and very happy with each other love life that time.
This edition of the HivePH Weekly Blogging Contest showed how connected we are to the people we love but have passed away ahead of us. It brought out painful memories and the joys of being together while they were still alive. We, Filipinos, have always been a family-oriented type of people. The entries for this week's contest reminded us of these special people in our lives. To share how we honor them, and for some, hopefully, to find closure and healing.
And, the winner is: @jude.villarta and her heartfelt entry.
