Hello there, my lovely hives! I hope you're all doing well!! I'm back again sharing some of my life stories. Today's blog is about our journey to Simala, the famous church in Cebu. I've already shared about this church on my previous blog.
My parents planned to get ready at 2:00 am, but then it was too early, they said, so the result we left at 4 am. The approximate time going to Simala was about 5-6 hours it depending on the traffic. Going to Simala, I felt really sad. I was crying on our half trip since my father scolded me, and even he scolded me every day, I cried.
When we passed by a stall selling "bibingka" in English rice cakes, they cost 5 pesos each. This was located at Catmon, Cebu. There were a lot of stalls in here on the side of the street. It was raining when we bought it and it was so good since it was crispy on the bottom.
I really loved the part of this street, it was filled with big trees and that made the place cold and peaceful even though there were a lot of cars passing by. The last time we came here, we stopped by this area and it our lunch. It was really a great experience for me. I even took a picture of it.
My brother and I slept since our travel seemed too long. We take a nap so we do not look so tired in the church.
We didn't buy any viand since my father bought a letchon, it was my all time favorite dish especially the skin part. While my father was driving, we ate a little bit since we felt hungry.
We then stopped on the side of the road where it was not so hot, we placed our foods and then eat. I didn't have an appetite when my parents started arguing. I said to my sister that it felt deja vu since on our first time coming to the simala, they were arguing that they could not break the cycle. Even though we were together, I felt there was a gap.
As we arrived, we were greeted by these souveneirs, My sisters bought some of these since she planned to give them to her friends. We bought mama mary on our trip in here in simala.
It was not so happy trip going to the church but then my heart filled with love when we enter the church and hearing the words of wisdom of the priest and monghe. The church was filled with so many people that there were people in wheelchairs.
I am the one who holds the mama mary saint that we bought on our first day coming to this place and the big one we bought on our second visit.
