Hello there, my lovely Hivers!
For today's blog , I’m excited to share about my first-ever JS (Junior-Senior) Prom. I was so happy to experience it, even though it was expensive. I had to pay for makeup and the dress, but it was all worth it because the experience was something you can’t put a price on.
The event started in the evening, and many students joined the prom. The ball gown I wore wasn’t the one I really wanted.
We had already picked a gown from a rental shop, but when we went to get it, they gave us a different one. I felt sad but had no choice since the prom was the next day.
Luckily, someone near us rented out ball gowns. I didn’t like the gown that I got. I wanted to wear a fitted dress, but they didn’t have any dress left.
When the prom started, we walked in one by one in red carpet. I felt shy about my gown, but I still walked confidently because I didn’t want to waste the ₱500 I spent renting it.
My partner for the night was my relative. It was funny because I didn’t know him before, and we only met at the prom.
Later that, there was a part where we had to turn over the cup. My cousin and I were chosen for this. I felt very nervous speaking in front of so many people. but I really did well but not so perfect.
After that, it was time to eat. The food was appetizing, and there was unlimited rice. But I didn’t eat much because I got full quickly. They also gave us dessert, which I love.
One of my favorite moments was when we all standing in a circle holding candles. It was so beautiful, and we sang together.
Afterward, we danced by partner.
At the end of the prom, they gave us cute souvenirs. I really liked mine. We also took lots of pictures to remember the night:
- we took a selfie with our math teacher.
- My friends and I had a group photo.
- I also had a picture with my beautiful mother.
This JS Prom was such a wonderful experience. It made me happy. I will always remember this night.
That’s all for today’s blog, Hivers! Thank you for reading. See you in my next blog!
