Hey everyone! It's your college blogger back again. I used to be a cutie, but now I'm a "college blogger." Finally in school, hehehe.
How are you guys? I'm just asking because no one might be asking how you are, hehehe, just kidding. Keep safe always, guys.
Okay, serious mode now.
Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, it's only the 4th day of classes, but we already have a task, which is a roleplay about "How teachers handle their future students."
Well, how do they do it?
So, I am one of the students assigned a big role in the task we made.
I'm Justine Monleon, a student from CTU Main Campus. As a third-year college student taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Math, being assigned a role isn't easy, but it's a task, so I'm taking it seriously.
We're four in a group, and our leader assigned us tasks. And I am in a big role, like the "Bida" in a teleserye. In the drama we're doing, I am one of Mr. Reyes students who have difficulty catching up with the lessons, like how to talk because of special abilities. My role is a special student who is always bullied by her classmates.
Meet Justine as Sasha
Meet Benjur as Junior, he also edited our video.
Meet Angela as Leah.
And meet our leader, Mary Rose, as Miss Reyes.
In the scene, it's the first day of school, and she's very happy because she might meet new friends, until after they introduce their names in front. That's where the bullying started.
And Miss Reyes does not tolerate bullying in the school. So Miss Reyes made Sasha sit first in the chair until she could process how to introduce herself because even Miss Reyes didn't know that Sasha had special disabilities. Miss Reyes, being the patient and understanding teacher she is, really hates bullying, so she talked to Junior and Leah in a calm and respectful way.
So, while Sasha was introducing herself in front, Junior still didn't listen and kept laughing, but I'm proud of how strong Sasha is because she could introduce herself in front of her classmates. She fought her nervousness and embarrassment.
Miss Reyes wears her big smile because she is also proud of Sofia for being able to introduce herself in front.
After they introduced themselves in front, she gave them an activity, and while she was roaming, she saw how talented Sasha was in art. She knows Sasha has a hard time talking, but she doesn't care 'cause everyone's got their own thing, you know? She also talked to the other students in private, telling them not to bully Sasha 'cause it really messes someone up when they get bullied. Miss Reyes did her best to ensure that no bullying would happen in her class. She teaches her students good manners and right conduct, so that if they see or encounter students with special abilities, they should respect them because it's bad to bully.
In the story we made, we showed how Miss Reyes handles her students. She studied what she should do because she knows that her students have different behaviors and characters. Behaviors that others don't have. Like Sasha, whom I portrayed. For her school was a complete nightmare at first because she knew her classmates were totally giving her a hard time. And she didn’t even try to stand up for herself, which is just not fine. But then, things got a bit better 'cause Miss Olid tried her best to help everyone get along and be a bit nicer, if that makes sense?
When I was acting like Sasha, it was hard, for sure, 'cause it was a big role that meant crying and stuff, especially when she was feeling super down and wondering why she was like that. "But it wasn't too hard to play her 'cause we're both shy, you know? Sofia in the story is shy and not very confident, but she keeps going until she gets her confidence back." That's why I'm proud of how Miss Reyes handles her students well.
After our roleplay, I cried because it's not easy to be bullied, especially when what you're looking for is friendship. So guys, NO TO BULLYING. I really believe in the saying, "DON'T DO TO OTHERS WHAT YOU DON'T WANT OTHERS TO DO TO YOU.”
