The Start of a New Semester
Today marks the first day of the second semester and also the start of my semester as a non-working student here at CRMC. However, I still need to train the new working student who will replace me for one month. Also, I won’t be attending other courses as a sit-in anymore since my schedule is now fixed.
A Surprising First Class
This morning, our first subject began, and surprisingly, our instructor showed up. At first, I thought she wouldn’t come since it’s typical for instructors to skip the first day of classes. But I was wrong—she had already informed our class leader in advance that she would attend.
Luckily, I wasn’t late for the first class. Upon entering, she immediately asked us to get a 1/8 sheet of paper to write down the date and our names. She also distributed the course outline so we’d be aware of the flow of the semester. If you’re wondering why we didn’t have an introduction session, it’s because this instructor already taught us last semester.
Reuniting with Classmates
Our semester break was just a week long, so I didn’t feel much change when we reunited with my classmates. However, after class, I noticed some changes since they were sitting at the back and arrived late.
One of them got their hair rebonded, while another cut their hair short. The latter is a friend of mine, and I even asked, “Why did you cut your hair short?” She simply replied, “Just felt like it,” and we both laughed.
Second Class Adventures
After our first class, we headed to our second class, which was on the third floor. Some of my friends mentioned they still needed to enroll, but they still joined the class (laughing out loud). I told them, “Go ahead, I’ll go to the classroom first.”
When we got to the third floor, our instructor hadn’t arrived yet. So, we just waited in the classroom.
The classroom was great—it had fresh air because the windows were open, and I could see tall trees outside, which I really loved. The ceiling fan was also on, so it wasn’t stuffy.
We waited for quite a while, but our instructor didn’t show up. So, I decided to return to the office to train the new working student. Some of my classmates also decided to use the time to complete their enrollment.
Lunch Break and Afternoon Classes
When I got to the office, I ate lunch first since it was already noon break. After lunch, I resumed my duties.
In the afternoon, I only had one subject, which lasted three hours since it was a major subject.
Although it’s a bit tiring to have back-to-back classes, I’m managing just fine.
