Hello my dear Hivers!
I'm going to show you today two of my creations. A keychain crocheted by yours truly.
I have a teacher who often orders this kind of keychain, those cute little gifts perfect for students. Just last month, she sent me a photo of a design she wanted me to make because she thought it looked really nice.
For a while, I searched several sites with different patterns similar to the one my ma'am sent me, but found nothing. At first, I hesitated to give it a try. After a few minutes, though, I decided that I might as well give it a shot. Ma'am insisted to me that I should try it if I thought I could handle it and fortunately, I had everything with me right now, including the exact yarn colors!
Surprisingly, as I was finishing the keychain, I realized I was actually able to do it! This became my first output for that design, and Ma’am even said it turned out just how she imagined. That’s also when I realized—I was able to make my own pattern just by looking at a picture!
Last month, she ordered twice with two different designs and quite a number of keychains.
And now this month, she placed another order, this time just one design. Ma'am messaged me last Monday evening and said she’ll pick it up sometime this week, probably Thursday afternoon. I started working on it by Wednesday because I spent Monday night studying for my summative long test on Tuesday. Luckily, I had no classes on Wednesday, so I grabbed the chance to work on the crochet order.
On Monday evening, Ma’am initially ordered 9 pieces. Later that day, she asked if I could add 6 more. I was unsure at first, imagine making 16 pieces in just a day! But I agreed and told her I’d do my best to finish everything.
I also understood why ma'am wanted it done by Thursday night, because the graduation would be on Friday!
By Wednesday night, I had finished 9 pieces, and I also managed to crochet the 6 graduation caps. The round head parts were left, so I decided to make them Thursday morning since I only had afternoon classes.
On Wednesday night and Thursday morning, I was multitasking, crocheting the orders while also studying for another long chapter exam and a long summative test in two different subjects. But thankfully, I managed to pull through!
Here are all the keychains I made.
That’s all for this blog, my dear Hivers! Thank you so much for reading!
