Hello my dear Hivers!
Today, I’ll be sharing with you the unboxing of our book for one of our major subjects.
Way back last semester, we had a major subject that required us to buy an actual book. Our teacher already informed us during midterms that it would be better for us to have the book because we’ll also be using it in the future. As finals got closer, he announced that we wouldn’t be allowed to take the final exam without a hard copy of the book.
From prelims to midterms, we mostly just used a soft copy of the book, but when finals were near, we had no choice but to order online. To save on shipping fees, one of our classmates announced during our Organic Chemistry class that they were going to order the book and asked if anyone wanted to join in so we could place one bulk order.
Some of my classmates had already bought their books earlier, but theirs were like mini booklets. When I saw them, the font was really small and a bit dizzying to read, so I told the classmate who was placing the order to please get the bigger version for me. He just nodded.
After he ordered online, a few weeks later, he informed our group chat that the books were almost arriving and that we needed to pay already. So I paid right away since I didn’t want him to shoulder my share.
Honestly, this is the first subject where we were required to have a physical book. As days passed, our orders finally arrived! The classmate who ordered them brought the books during our Organic Chemistry class since that’s our first subject of the day. We all started passing the books around excitedly, and here it is!
I really enjoy unboxing books like this, brand new and smelling fresh! Aside from the book itself, I also love popping the plastic wrap it comes in. It’s super satisfying and honestly a stress reliever for me.
And that’s all for today’s blog, my dear Hivers! Thank you so much for reading!
