How do you like your coffee? I enjoyed mine brewed and strong. My day will not start without drinking a cup of coffee and some pastries. Today's breakfast is a croissant from Merci Cafe. It has a cream filling inside and topped with cubed brownies.
On some days, usually on a weekend, i just drink a cup of coffee for breakfast and enjoy the fresh air. What slow morning are supposed to look like. Lately, i've been trying to incorporate good habits like reading, meditating, and exercising in my routine.
Im currently reading The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz. As someone who admittedly see things on a microscopic sense, this book made me realize that sometimes we have to see the whole picture in order to understand things better. The author also gives a huge emphasis on having the right attitude towards every situation.
During office days, my officemates and I would sometimes grab a cup of "fancy" coffee at Starbucks as a self reward for accomplishing a difficult task or finishing our month end financial reports.
When I was still in college, i only visit coffee shops to study especially during exam seasons. Now that im past that stage, i promised myself to visit cafes not for work nor study but for my own leisure, which means read a book, write a journal, or simply watch a movie on my phone. This is how i heal my inner child.
By now, you probably know that coffee has been an essential part of my productivity and my life. However, i also know the side effects of having too much caffeine so i try to limit my intake to 1-2 cups per day.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
Love, Jane
