Hey hivers! Another day, another happy mail! This time, it’s a baby I’ve been waiting for so loongggg! Finally, it came home safe and sound to me, my very own DAY6 Lightband Version 3!🥹
Got it from withmuu on the orange app, and it arrived in less than three weeks—despite being a pre-order directly from Korea! Considering how rare this product is and how quickly it sells out, I’m thrilled to finally have it. (Fun fact: stocks for this were only replenished last December.)
Now, here’s the story timeeeee 😭😭😭
Unfortunately, this joy comes with a bittersweet tale because… I GOT SCAMMED. AGAIN. Not with this exact product, but with the same product from a different merchant.
Let’s rewind to October 2024.
Right after securing my Day6 concert tickets, I immediately ordered this item from a supposedly trusted Twitter shop. The shop had a large following and glowing reviews from customers over the years, so I felt confident placing an order. I paid the full amount of ₱2,370 upfront, thinking it would save me the hassle later.
But here’s the red flag I ignored: on their confirmation emails they have mentioned that they are not providing order masterlists anymore. At the time, I was desperate because the item wasn’t available on the orange app yet. I brushed off my doubts and convinced myself it would be fine.
Fast forward to months later: no updates. No emails, no social media posts—nothing. The seller only mentioned being sick and unable to make updates. By January, I knew it wouldn’t arrive in time, so I decided to order from another shop (this one!), knowing how long shipping can take, especially since I’m in Mindanao.
And then, the plot thickened.
In January, forums and group chats started buzzing with complaints about this seller. I ended up in a GC with more than 150 other buyers, all of whom were in the same situation—no products, no updates. Based on our shared masterlist, the seller owes us over ₱400,000 worth of products.
At this point, I’ve decided to let it go. Yes, ₱2,370 is a lot of money, but my peace of mind is worth more. Stressing over this won’t bring it back, and getting sick over it would just cost me more in the long run.
But wait, there’s more.
I also got scammed by another Twitter seller for an amigurumi (a crocheted character of Windy - Fujii Kaze). That was supposed to arrive last year, and guess what? Nothing. I don’t even want to dwell on it because the way that seller gaslit me was infuriating. May she rot in hell. (Sorry for the words, but I’m still pissed!)
Lesson learned: I’m NEVER buying anything on Twitter ever again.
Now back to my baby (only happy thoughts!!!), I love all the modes of the lights (especially the fast blinks of flashing lights) tho I cannot post the video here but swear I’m so ready to be in the ocean I’ve longed for all this time!
Yes, life might throw some curveballs, but at least I’ll finally be seeing my boys in the flesh at their concert next month. Through it all, it’s always worth it for DAY6. FOREVER DAY6, FOREVER MYDAY!
