Greetings, dear readers! It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance in this amazing platform.
First of all, I just wanna say, "Finally! I'm now here on Hive!." Just so you know, it took me so long to finally land here. It probably took me almost a year to get here. Many of my friends from the other blogging platforms have invited me several times already, and some of them already left here, I supposed but I failed to do so.
To be honest, the reason why it took me this long to finally land here is that I didn't had the courage to learn and embrace new opportunities coming my way. And so, I just felt like this is the right time to join here and I hope it's not yet too late for me. I would love to make new friends here and hang out with my friends again.
So to formally introduce myself, my name is Jeaneth. My friends call me "Anet". I would love to tell you more about myself so here it is:
Me As a Musician
Even when I was younger, I knew that I had a special skill in music. When I was in grade school, we were taught how to play the flute. From then on, I started exploring by playing a song by ear "ouido" style. I also played the guitar in high school, which most of the teenagers learn most in that stage. I was a member of the school band as well, I played the lyre. I actually didn't want to join but I did it for the sake of earning credits from extracurricular activities.
When I entered college, I kind of like lay low on music because I focused on my studies. I swear, IT was so hard. Why did I choose this course though? I barely survived but gladly, I did. I still sing and play the guitar with my classmates just like in the old days, if free time permits occasionally.
Fast forward to when I discovered playing the keyboard.
It was 2019 when something tragic happened to me. I'll share that with you in detail on a separate blog. So I had to stay at home to recover and regain my strength physically, emotionally, and psychologically. When the pandemic came, I had to look for a hobby that would somehow divert my attention and prevent me from getting relapses from my depression.
It started with a toy keyboard. Luckily, I was earning great from blogging at that time, and buying a mid-range keyboard made it possible for me. I met Gifter from the other blogging platform and that's where Riortrek was born.
Riortrek is an acoustic-alternative duo, by which I play the keyboards and do backup vocals. Gifter plays the guitar and is also the lead vocalist.

Please support my band! We have 10 original songs published on all music platforms. Be sure to check them out!
Me As a Writer
I started blogging back in 2020. I discovered a crypto-blogging platform through Facebook. That platform played a great influence on who and where I am today. That's where I bought my keyboard from, that's where I met a friend, and that's where my core values and disposition in life were shaped. I would say, it became a training ground for me to be aspiring as a Freelance writer. I have yet to close deals with clients, hopefully soon.
Me As a Voiceover Artist
When I'm not writing or doing music, I also like to do voiceovers. In fact, I love to copy voices from different characters in animated films. My ultimate favorite cartoon character is Mulan. I actually have a handful of samples here to show you although this is just through personal interest and not demonstrated in the professional realm. Hopefully, clients will take their time to listen and assess my potential.
Me As a Furmom
When pressure, stress, and quarter-life crisis kick in, I'm blessed to have a companion with me. I have a pet named Sunny. Sunny has been with me since 2019. She became my emotional support since then. I adopted her from my cousin's colleague. She's a mixed breed of Shih Tzu, Poodle, Japanese Spitz, and Pomeranian.
You can't really deny how feisty she is judging from the bloodline she came from. No doubt about that. To be fair, Sunny is such a sweet dog. She's transparent with her moods. She gets sad when I try to do errands outside but gets very excited when she sees me back after. Sunny has witnessed all of my ups and downs. I just can't let go of her. We are each other's reinforcements.
So that's pretty much it for now. I enjoyed writing this introduction post. I am very much excited to explore and get to know more about the community. I still have a lot to learn here and I hope to make friends with you here. I can't wait to experience such milestones unfolding here not just for myself but for the entire community as well :)
Is there like an initiation here for newbies? 😅
Special mention to @mooontivated for helping me all throughout just to finally make an account here. Thanks, Mon! :)
Thanks for reading.
Keep safe everyone!
