As a Filipino tradition, when there are occasions, there must be a feast, especially for those who have money or are wealthy But even poor Filipinos, whenever someone has a birthday, will try to find money, borrow money, to cover the costs of the celebration, so that there will be a party, because it is their tradition.
Today I'll share with you my son's very simple birthday celebration.
A simple birthday celebration: on my son's 15th birthday on July 28, 2025 and since we didn't have enough money at the time, her Auntie Juicey bought him a cake and I cooked spaghetti to celebrate his birthday. Even though we only prepared a little food, I saw that my son was very happy that we were able to spend his birthday with him.
When his birthday was approaching, he asked me to buy him a ball that he wanted as a birthday gift, That he saw on TikTok store
Even though the parcel didn't arrive on his birthday, because the scheduled parcel arrived on the next day, my son was still very happy because his long-awaited gift had arrived.
And on Saturday at around 11:30am, Aug. 2, my son asked me to go swimming in Cantakuyan spring with his friends and he always plays basketball with them, because it was very hot that day. I refused to agree but because my son said, "Please, dad," it was like celebrating my birthday with my friends,Because my son was so kind, it was hard to refuse, so we immediately headed to Cantakuyan.
After a few minutes of riding on the motorbike with sidecar that I was driving, we arrived, and they quickly walked towards the spring.
And when we arrived, there were many people, children and adults, swimming, and without delay they immediately joined my son and his friends, they had so much fun diving. In the very cold water of that spring
While my son and his friends were having a great time bathing, I also enjoyed watching them and the people bathing there. I saw that there were families at the top of the spring.who were eating with their friends and family, and some were taking pictures, and some were even bathing their pets

And in this part you can tell that the water here is really cold, because even though the sun is very hot because it is noon at this time, we can see that these two young people are really cold, This is how beautiful Cantakuyan Spring is, especially during the summer.
We don't need to go into debt just to celebrate the occasions that are going to be held, even if we prepare only a small amount of food, for the whole family to share, that is enough.As long as everyone is happy to celebrate
