It's the second of January and it was a good day to take a step back to look at my Hive statistics. Looking at this snapshot, I see that it was a good year for powering up and growing my HP, not so much for consistency in publishing content. As you can see in this recap card, I wasn't able to upload any video for the whole year so that was a bummer.
I did publish 76 written posts for 2024; a smaller number than what I would have wanted, but the $ value of the posts totaled $359, which means that I received around $4.72 rewards per post. Cool. I thought it was great to know that creating content here on the blockchain let's casuals earn a few dollars. This amount let's me know that each blog post gets me a nice, big cup of coffee in one of my favorite coffee chains. Not a big amount but certainly a good motivation to get the creative juices flowing in my veins.
Interestingly,my top upvoted content is about coffee ---> Oh, No! I Discovered a New Coffee Shop Nearby with a value of $21.54. Not bad, eh. It's totally a win-win situation for that one since I was able to publish, earned some rewards, and had my evening snack.
As you can see, it can be financially rewarding to create and publish original, interesting, and timely content here on the blockchain. I really appreciate that people, who may or may not have read what I've written, still upvoted. And although the Hive ecosystem is far from being perfect, it is perfectly acceptable to earn from doing what you enjoy doing. So, for this year, I need consistency in creating and uploading posts to increase my rewards.
And, that's it for today's post. I don't plan on doing a deep dive into my statistics for now but maybe in another article. It's fun to see new people joining the platform each day. So many creative, smart, and insightful posts come from the most unexpected authors and communities that it can be difficult to keep up. So, I just read what I can to keep up with some of my favorite authors and write from time to time to share my story.
