SERENDIPITY

Sunsets can make or break a day
It's always nice to find a nice spot to just stop and look at the sunset before going home. The spectacle of colors in the horizon changing before your very eyes. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you will have a DSLR camera with you, but I didn't, so I just used what I had on me, my mobile phone.
I didn't do any editing; just cropped the shot to focus more on the sunset. Made my day.
The live version of Elton John's "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", with the orchestra accompanying him makes it melodramatic, but, hey, everyone has to let out emotions, once in a while. :)
Don't let the sun go down on me
(don't let the sun)
Although I search myself, it's always someone else I see
I'd just allow a fragment of your life to wander free
I mean, where do they get these lyrics. It's poetic, it's emotional and powerful. It has the ability to affect the listener and, in some ways, to change him. And, this is the same as my goal in writing: to positively affect the reader, which for me is a big goal, but a worthy goal nonetheless.
Beatlemania
Sir Paul McCartney, and the Beatles, of course, has to be one of the most beloved bands of all time. As I listen to my writing background music playing, it dawned upon me that the opening lyrics to yesterday describes our current situation.
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Pure genius, it's poetry at its finest in a song.
Apollo and the Muses
Looking at the way artists' create music can give us a clue on how to better write. For me, we all have the creative genius within, which is the same as what great musicians, poets and actors put into writing and honing their craft.

The ancient Greeks believed that the inspiration to create art and literature came from Muses. Poetry, songs and stories handed down from generations originated from Muses and handed down to them; they were the source of these creative works.
I believe in Muses, and that there is a source knowledge that anyone can tap into, to find the motivation to write. I call it experiences, ideas, people we admire and look up to, goals and aspirations - in short, life.
We all live life a certain way and no two people have the same experiences in life; even twins don't live our their life exactly the same. And this is what makes us different. This alone makes our writing unique and one-of-a-kind.
So if we really work hard on this craft, it will bear the fruits of our labor. We only need to look at ourselves and allow but a "fragment of our life to wander free", then we will be fine.
Thanks for dropping by and reading 'till the end. I've set myself a goal of posting everyday for five days straight and posting it on #hiveph to help increase the write-ups in the community and, hopefully, inspire some of the young ones to continue to write here on #hive, or on any other platform that gives them the chance to.
I appreciate the love and support, and the constructive criticisms that come along, so please don't hesitate to leave a comment on how I can improve my writing.
Good luck and keep safe everyone!
