It's me again, Junvir M. Gomez. Today I'm going to talk about my experience as a server in the church. I am the type of server who is willing to undergo different training just to learn and grow with my service. I find fulfillment when I am at church; it's my comfort zone every time I feel bothered in school or to my friends. The place that I treat as my true home. When I'm at my house, I feel so bored; it's like I did not find my happiness when I'm at my family. Truly, I said that the friends that I have in the church hits different. They are the ones who are always with me through the lows and the highs. The friends that couldn't leave me alone when I'm having problems or any challenges I encounter.
My Church Friend:
These are the friends on my side right now. They are the ones who truly remind me that in life we may face different challenges, and we need to fight against them in order for us to succeed in life. When I'm lonely, they remind me that I'm not alone in this journey and that I have them as my family. And with that, I am very thankful for them for being with me as my journey is full of many worries about what the future holds for me.
My friend that I treat as my true brother:
He is Jeffry Tolero. A grade 11 student from Libertad National High School. His strand is Humms. He is the one who truly understands me every time I have problems in life. I usually shared everything with him since I am comfortable sharing my happenings in life with him. Though we experience misunderstandings, in the end we forgive each other. He is my friend who truly cares about me. When I'm alone, He always asks me if anything goes wrong, and with that, I'm very thankful to him that even asking like that could truly ignite my spirit that I'm not really alone in this journey. I have my mother, not in blood but in heart, who is very caring for me. He is a very clingy one. I admire him for being good to every person he encounters. I really appreciate his presence in my life. I am his tutor every time he experiences difficulties in his academics. I am very protective of him, and every time he does not do his assignments in school, I will get angry with him since I value academics and he too must adhere. I'm very proud of him since he shared with me that he is part of the class with honor due to my strictness toward him. Every moment we shared was cherishable, and every time we had problems, we fixed them personally to avoid conflict.
My co- altar servers:
They are the ones who thought about the true happiness in serving. They are the ones who truly remind me that in a life full of worries, serving in the church is always our comfort zone. Yes, I would truly say that not everyone of us is good. I admit that I'm not good either, but we are trying to fix it step by step as we are journeying together as one family of Jesus. We are bringing his goodness towards the humanities. We are there to change our different personalities, as this place is a place to change. A place where you find joy, laughter, and sadness as well, but these are also the reasons why I keep going with my journey.
My co- Parish Youth Coordinating Council of Bogo officers:
These friends are the ones who truly value the youth. The youth are the primary target of stress due to the peer pressure they encounter. And we, as the officers in the church, are igniting their spirits to join in this organization to feel that they are not alone in their journey, as we are there for them every time they need help. We extend our helping hands to them not just physically and mentally but also spiritually. As a youth who is and who is spiritually motivated, I face difficult challenges in life also, but because a lot of people surround me to support me, there's no reason to give up but to fight against it. They are my source of strength as well as my supporters in everything I do. I really value them as my true family.
Lastly, this journey of my service would be the biggest thing I made in my life. I will never forget these people behind my back through the different challenges I encounter for being with me in this journey. I love them as my true brothers a sisters in Christ. And with that, no words can explain how grateful and happy I am to have them. And that's all for today. I hope you have fun reading my blogs. Thank you so much. Have a nice day ahead!!
