10,000 Roses: A Cordova Fad That Captured Hearts

In the heart of Cordova, Cebu, lies a place that once captivated the hearts of many – 10,000 Roses Cafe & More. This unique establishment, adorned with an astounding number of artificial white roses, rose to popularity a few years ago, becoming a go-to destination for locals and tourists alike.

The allure of 10,000 Roses lies not just in its sheer number of roses, but in the aesthetic it creates. The cafe's ambiance is one of pure romance and elegance, with cascading roses forming a breathtaking backdrop for countless photoshoots and special occasions; some couples even had their prenup shoots there.

The cafe's popularity surged, fueled by social media and word-of-mouth. People flocked to 10,000 Roses to experience its enchanting atmosphere and capture Insta-worthy moments amidst the sea of white blooms.

However, like many fads, the popularity of 10,000 Roses eventually waned. As time passed, the novelty of the attraction faded, and the cafe's allure diminished. Today, other places in the Philippines offer similar attractions, such as those in Bohol and Leyte.

Though its heyday may have passed, 10,000 Roses remains a part of Cordova's main tourist attractions. While its popularity may have ebbed, the cafe's unique attractions still draw tourists and locals, albeit not as fervently as before when you could barely take a photo without someone photobombing you.

While some tourists visit the cafe for the 10K Roses, it's also worth appreciating the views of the Cebu skyline and mountain ranges from the cafe. During my visit, I was able to savor the sunset from there.

If you want to experience the 10,000 roses at their best, it is advisable to visit when the sun is about to set, to see the sunset and to make sure the roses are already lit up.
