The Philippines is experiencing summer even if it shouldn't be summer. Some months should be rainy, just like how the elders were used to. But now, the weather has changed, reversed, abnormal weather conditions.
Because of the increasing heat index, the people, animals, and plants were negatively affected and got sick by this hot weather.
Just like this banana tree they just bow down on their own because there's no water supply in their roots. The bananas aren't yet to be harvested but because they give up we've got no choice but to get the other banana and the very unripe one was left on the banana tree for a while.
There are some big cracks in the ground showing how the land lacks water.
These goats are not ours, it's our neighbor's goats. When I bring water for our goats they seem to ask a water too. So, I would hand them the water and at first they are shy but because of the heat they would eventually drink. That's the usual days and they are now close to us. If they see us they would run close to us.
There's not enough grass to sustain the goats and even cows so we have to get some grass and leaves so they will be full and a cornhusk as well with water and salt.
Even my cats and goats act weirdly because of the heat HAHAHAHA
We can't go out without some sun protection either a shawl, hat or an umbrella.
A thirsty bird landed on top of my head. My auntie said it's an "Alimukon". I gave it water and it drank a lot. I put the bird inside the tray where I first put Flay. The bird was weak so I let it fly inside our house. But, it flew when I opened it the next day. However, it came back again and again to ask for some water.
In recent months, it has started to pour some rain and the brown grasses are turning green. The dying plants are starting to grow new leaves. The ground are healing from the cracks and the animals like those birds on the wild are not thirsty anymore.
