Five days left for 2022, and I was sitting on my working table (just called it working table though I seldom work at home), scrolling through some social media apps, until I landed opening my Hive account. I thought about what to write as this month I spend the time procrastinating. Hate to say this, but quite this habit of mine was usual every December. Let's say my mind was already in vacation mode. The body is willing, but thy mind refused! Stubborn, lol. Thus in the last few days, there is still time to write a few, right? With that, I checked the Hiveph blogging contest and realized I hadn't participated from the week one. Yet, there is still week 4!
Week 4 [Dec 23-29, 2022]: 2022 Recap and 2023 Plans
How did your year go? Naenjoy mo ba? May regrets ka ba? Reevaluate your year and plan ahead for 2023. Planning phase pa lang naman, di pa resolution breaking.
The 2022 Recap!
Crypto
When it comes to crypto, this year was not that good; when we were about to welcome the year, I was hoping that the market would recover. However, as there are few days left, I know that hope mine became a Wish. Impossible to happen, but who knows in 2023?
The market may have been better than often were bloody, yet I am glad that my knowledge was added, and that was when I joined Hive this year. Yes, it was a bit complicated and challenging at first; well, it still is now, Yet, I was glad I survived with the help of the wonderful people of this community.
Family
Since the pandemic happened, one thing that I am thankful of, we are all healthy. Yes, we may also be infected by the virus, yet we all survive! Not only that, but we get a chance to be reunited this year! Most of us already had our own families and chose to settle in different places where destiny brought us.
This year, we surprised our parents as my sister, working in Singapore, finally took a vacation after five long years! Thank you, Covid! With that, I also file for a leave of absence for one month! Oh my, since I started working way back in 2013, that was the first time to have a long vacation!
Bonding with my sisters, just like in the old times, was one of those great things that happened in 2022. Going out, having fun talks as we reminisced our childhoods, asking each other's how life has been, etc.
A photo of me and my sister! Yes, that happens when you are with your older sister, see? she was trying to have the best pose while I was holding her bag! Thanks to the strong wind, she wasn't able to achieve it, lol!
Work
Sadly, the company I am working with is still unable to recover from the pandemic and currently in the stage of rebooting! Yes, everything may be slowly going back to normal but things are no longer the same. Business strategies/marketing before was no longer applicable now. Thus, the management is trying their best to cope up with a new project with the hope it might succeed this time. Changing store locations, adding new lines of business, changing of trade names, etc. I on the other hand was trying my best to settle all the business permits so yeah, all throughout the year, almost 60% of my work revolves on City Hall and BIR. Processing all needed documents and settling down all found open cases.
Thus, I am still thankful I have a job and considerable enough to give me a salary increase.
Overall , I can say, 2022 has been good to me. Even though there are some challenges and even cause rifts in relationships; still I survive. I just decided to forgive even though they doesn't ask for forgiveness, not because I am kind. It was just I was peace in my heart!
What's the Goal for 2023?
Not a plan but indeed a goal, was there a difference? Well I am the type of person who doesn't go with que sera sera. As much as possible I want everything planned; I hate surprises as I don't want to be caught off guard.
For this year I just want to focus on two; Family and Work. No, I am not referring to a family like parents and siblings. They are fine and I've done my part though I keep supporting them when it comes to financial matters, it was not the same as before. Mainly, focus on parents now. So the incoming year is the perfect time to put my own family in the priority. I mean building my own and having our mini me.
The first thing to be accomplished this year is to book an appointment with my OB-gyne since the husband will be going home months from now. No, I don't have medical issues but face the fact that I am not that young, lol. So I needed a Doctor's advice.
What about work? I was about to file a resignation last year if only not because of our Group Lead. She was nice and one of the best Bosses. However, I wanted a new job because of the reasons I stated above. My current work was far from my husband's hometown where we chose to settle down. Leaving me with no choice.
So next year, I will be job hunting and preferably work from home!
How about yours? What's your 2023 Plan? Thus, whatever it is, always remember that in order to achieve those goals, it should come with a lot of patience, hard work!
Happy Holidays!
