Japan Experience in Cebu: A Quick Snap at SM JMall!

Hello dear hivers, I am @marfeatures, and I am back with a new blog. How are you? I hope you are all doing well. For today's "blogserye" (blog series), I will be featuring my unplanned visit at SM JMall in Mandaue City. Come and join me in wandering around the mall; I will take you to Japan for a bit, hahaha.

SM JMall is a Japanese-inspired mall. If you want a Japanese experience without spending on a plane ticket, then SM JMall is the perfect spot for you. Experience the Japanese' best only here in Cebu. Almost all inside the mall is Japanese-inspired, from cafes, restaurants, arts, and architecture with a touch of traditional Japanese elements; it's just wow. But wait, I will not bring you inside those cafés or restaurants; shhhhh🤫, it's not yet payday, hahah🤣.

After work, a friend/workmate asked me to have a quick stroll at the mall. Initially I never planned on going out after work because I wanted to rest early, but I then go with my friend since I realized I need a break; it's Friday, no work tomorrow, so it's okay. Immediately, we proceed to the place and stroll and wander inside the mall.

For now, let me just share my snaps from our visit to SM JMall. Wandering around the place, my friend and I saw these cute and beautiful large installation of manga, a famous Japanese comic book and graphic novel. But here in SM JMall it's not a book; it's a massive thingy. I don't know how to call this one, hahahah. It just suits photographs and backgrounds. Social climber as I am, hahah, I ask my friend/workmate to take me a picture. The display is just perfect for backgrounds; I mean, it's instagrammable.

I always heard about manga, but I'm not a fan of reading; as a matter of fact, I never read one. But seeing this beautiful installation, I must say this is an art installation showcasing the rich culture of Japan through massive wall displays of manga; it just left me wowed. I love creating a pose in each corner of the place; I'm just amazed how the management of the mall came up with this beautiful idea—commendable.

After a quick pose, strolling and shopping, we then proceed back home. Overall it was a good experience; I never regret coming with my friend. Indeed, a time spent with your company is a good thing. It was a fully packed day, and I'm so happy I've got to do these things. What are you waiting for? Maybe it's your turn to tour us more on each floor of the mall? Hahaha, just kidding. Maybe if I have time and, of course, money, I can show you other things to do inside.
