My Self Introduction: A Journey Yet to Unfold
Hello everyone, I am Marfe. I am new here on this platform, and I hope to share with you my passions and happenings in life. I know this platform will be a great avenue to share my stories and make friends as well. I hope you to meet new faces here and make new friends online. Let's gear for an era of blogs, maayong adlaw!
Growing up, I was not sociable; I learned to work on my own and enjoy life as it is, not unless a friend introduced this platform to me. I learned so many things that on this platform I can engage and make new friends all over the world, and at the same time I can express myself through blogs. I always wanted to have someone to listen to my rants and stories in life, and now that I found this platform, I can now have someone to listen. This is the reason why I'm here now, and I hope to vibe with you soon, but before that, to get to know me better, here is my story:
All about me.
I am Marfe, twenty-four years old, residing in Borbon, Cebu. I finished my college journey last, last year, taking up a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Filipino at Cebu Roosevelt Memorial Colleges. It wasn't easy since I am a working student, but what perseveres me to finish my studies is my family. I always see their struggles just to send us to school.
Now I am working as an ESL teacher in Mandaue City. Yet this is not the kind of work I wish to have permanently; I am continuously working on my dreams, and I'm on track to that. In the mean time, I will just settle for this. Anyway, I got to enjoy my work since it is my passion—to teach and mold minds to become the better version of themselves. I always see teaching as a noble profession; it keeps me grounded on my work and motivated to continue my vocation in life.
Life wasn't easy for me; it has been a roller coaster for me, but you know who keeps me going—they are my family. They never leave me, even in my darkest days. That's why, as much as possible, I wanted to secure a permanent job to pay back their sacrifices on me. Above all, God has been instrumental to my success; I wouldn't be here in my current standing if not for him. He gave me courage to continue life and embrace what's left for me.
My hobbies.
I like to play volleyball; I always find it enjoyable. It relieves my stress and keeps me going throughout the day. I also like coffee a lot; it boosts my energy to do my tasks at work. Candy Crush is my past time; I always play whenever I have free time. It serves as my past time whenever I feel so drained and demotivated. As Tiffi said, if you want to skip the stress of today, play Candy Crush. Now, I am at level 6,210. Look, see how stressed I am. HAHAHAH.
I also love beaches a lot; it gives me different energy that refreshes the whole me, you know the feeling? It's really different whenever you soak yourself in saltwater. Plus, it's enjoyable, especially with family. We used to go to the beach during occasions or even normal days whenever we wanted to, so expect that my blog will feature some refreshing and stunning beach and lagoon views.
During days off, I always find time to go back home; it is where I feel calmness and relaxation. It always gives me the vibes of provincial life—the life that I used to have since the day I was brought to life. I enjoyed having quality time with my family and old friends.
Me and my younger sister, together with my cousins, used to gather varieties of fruits depending on what was available; you don't ask, but in my hometown we grow a lot of fruits, just like pomelo, star apple, lansones, mango, citrus, rambutan, tamarind, santol, dragon fruit, and a lot to mention. This is what I love about going home—the fresh fruits and the green vegetation that surrounds the whole place. Ohhh, how good it is to be at home again in the coming holidays. Enjoying and savoring meals together with your family is the most irreplaceable thing in this world.
What to expect in my blogs?
Since everything is welcome except for foul contents, hahahah, you will expect a mix of content that I will be sharing on this platform with you. You will expect travels, foods, museums and history, friends and family, and many other things; just stay posted on my blogs, and together let us grow and socialize at HiveFam. As I have said, this platform wouldn't be able to cross my eyeballs and eardrums if not for @jeannmazing; she taught me how this platform works and encouraged me to use this platform as a means to socialize and improve my writing skills.
I am so thankful to her for introducing Hive to me and for giving me an avenue to explore my inner self through writing blogs, which in the first place is my hobby. I couldn't be happier when I heard that I could be able to engage and interact with another Hive Blogger and be part of a bigger community. The world may have never given me the chance to socialize personally, but with a hive, at least I can interact with people across the globe virtually through my blogs. I can't wait to share with you my chikas and ganaps in life.
That is all for today, Hivers. I hope you will support my soon-to-be released blogs. Here's to more blogs in the future. Have a great day ahead, everyone. I wish you luck and all the best in life. Bye bye! 👋💗🌷✨
