Good day filipino hivers!
Everytime I heard from the news or saw some posts in facebook about strong typhoon or super typhoon it made me to remember my traumatic experienced.
Last day,I saw some posts in facebook about the coming typhoon and it said it will reach the category as a super typhoon .While reading the news ,my body feels shaking ,tumayo balahibo ko as I've remember the super typhoon odette.
I was lucky that that I able to escape to experienced the super typhoon yolanda before ,that time my supervisor from the department store where I am working in Tacloban City ,assigned me at Bato leyte a month before the super typhoon Yolanda.
I may lucky that I wasn't able to experienced the super typhoon Yolanda but during the super typhoon Odette ,I experienced it and it gave me so much trauma.
My traumatic experienced!
December 2021,we learned that the province of leyte especially the southern part of it is one of the affected area which the super typhoon odette will landed.
The eye of the typhoon will passed at Hilongos leyte ,the next town where we are residing and it going to Cebu City.We are so worried and scared coz we are residing at the next town where the eye of the typhoon will pass.
December 14,2021
I was busy preparing for the typhoon ,I went to the town to buy some groceries and food.A lot of people was there.Some are having a panic buying but me ,since nerbyoso ako,panic lang nakayanan ko haha.
After buying some foods we need especially the can goods and milk for the kids,I was busy putting some plastic bags for our things ,baka mabasa.
My mother in-law told me to stay at my sister in-laws house since its a concrete house house and ours is only made of light materials and its an old house owned by my father in-law and he gave it to us.
December 16 is the date which the typhoon will landfall and 2days before that date we decided to stay at my inlaws house pero malapit lang naman mga 50steps away sa bahay namin.
December 15,2021
I and my mother in-law got our first covid vaccine ,I thought that there will be no vaccination will happen kasi may bagyo but when I check the RHU facebook page and it said that there will be a vaccination.
December 16
Everything went smoothly ,the weather is fine but around 4 in the afternoon the wind are starting to blow with some raindrops.
My husband was having a night shift duty that time and he will go to work at 6in the evening ,I told him to call his co worker asking if its okay that my husband will not go to work for their safety.
Around 5 ,theres still a signal ,so he called his co worker asking if its okay if he can't duty ,so that his workmate also will not leave the office ,their office was having a second floor and for sure he will be safe there.
I contacted my family and they told me that one of the coconut tree in our back yard was fell down because of the strong wind and then the signal was lost.It made me to feel worried for them.
6in the evening ,the wind extremly blow and it seem like there something in the wind ,a creepy sounds like theres a monster on it.Some trees are started to cut and fell.
I heard the sounds of the roof and I was thinking it is our roof ,I felt so worried for us even if we stayed in a concrete house coz everytime the wind blows extremely ,a creepy sounds we heard and the window is like almost broken.
I got nervous thinking where to hide if what would be happen to the house.
I keep hugging my youngest son as he is afraid to hear the sound from the outside while my eldest son was sleeping and he was not aware whats was happening outside.
The because of the extremely wind blows,the rain was entered the house ,we got so busy putting some clothes and to to get the floor dry .
Because of my nervous ,I can't take the food,I can't swallow it .My body was shaking because of fears and worried.I was thinking to our neighbors who only had a small houses ,where are they hiding right that time?
Almost 5 hours bago humina ang napakalakas na hangin na may dalang ulan.
Around 10 in the evening ,the weather was seems like nothing was happened ,the sky looks so calmly.
I and my husband checked our house and I can't hold my tears looking it.
The aftermath
Beacause of that typhoon ,we suffered two months with no electricity and water.
That super typhoon leaves many damages but whats important is we are all safe.
Calamity like this is a reminder to the people to help and save our mother earth kasi tayo lang din ang maapektohan at makikinabang dito.
