There are times when the needs have to be done in a short span of time. So we need to have equipments that can help us do the task with ease.
My dear co-Hivers, please come with me as I share to you what steps I had undertaken to achieve the outcome in just a few days. Let's go.
This blog is about the fencing activity of the school. While the Part II of the other project in front of the stage is ongoing, the fencing project using the materials that the school requested through the DepEd Division Office to the City Government of the City of Bogo, Cebu, Philippines as part of the Special Education Fund (SEF) implementation.
Why these Materials?
You may be wondering why the GI pipes used are only 1/2 inch in diameter instead of bigger pipes. The reason goes like this.
The budget is only One hundred thousand pesos or around One thousand seven hundred fifty US dollars more or less. Although the budget is very minimal, considering that several schools also are recipients of the Special Education Fund, the school's strategy is that the fund needs to be adjusted to finish the three sides of the perimeter fence. And I'm sure, you'll understand later the reasons behind.
Why Fence?
If you've noticed, this area of the school, looks like an open field or a grass land that is used for feeding cows or carabaos with green grasses. In fact, you can see the neighbor's cows within the area in the afternoon.
Another thing that I have to consider is the safety of the two classes using the building that is located far apart from the rest of the school buildings. Some motorists would just drive their motorcycles in front of the said building even if classes are going on. There are people like vendors who pass-by the area without even showing respect to the ongoing classes.
Those circumstances convinced me to do something for the school. Hence, those simple GI pipes I've mentioned, those that we use to make perimeter fence can make a difference. They can draw lines between the school and the rest of the people in the community.
It can show to the public that there is an authority inside and out of those fences. They must know that the people inside are being protected.
Although those pipes are only one-half in diameter, but they are thick. I need to use the existing GI pipes that are bigger like one and one-half inches in diameter for the vehicular gate at the back; and in the corner of the perimeter to add a little strength to it. By the way, those will be taken up in the Part II. I'll be showing to you the finished product..hehe.
Why Two Sparks?
This time, I must have to double-time the ongoing work using two units of welding machines -mine and the other one owned by the worker- because next week will again be back to regular classes.
The Realization
We can do many things for the school when our eyes are set -not only for beauty and academic excellence- but for its safety.
