Good day, Hivers! I've been very busy these past weeks due to the hectic schedules that I had. A side-to-side to-do list has to be accomplished right away for my day to be productive. After being successful, I came to the point of compiling some of the travels that we have and sharing them with you all dearest Hivers so in other ways around you can have a simple glimpse of some of Northern Cebu's fertile land and richness in resources.
Northern Cebu is known to be rich in natural resources. During our Hive orientation, we opted to walk from school to the highway. Along our way, we have seen the sweet corn intentionally planted for their Corn Derby Fiesta. Inhabitants in the north utilize the fields by planting corn. This is a staple food of the Filipinos and to give value to this crop, a festival was done during our visit here.
Sugarcane is one of the crops which is famous in the North of Cebu. It used to have a sugarcane milling company however due to wear and tear, it wasn't able to recover yet. One of the biggest sugarcane millings is found in Medellin, Cebu. This plantation is beneficial to the people here. Planting and harvesting can serve as temporary income for the less fortunate common laborers.
The devastation of the heavy rain partially ruined the banana and the sugarcane plantation. There are some fields where they prone to floods. These crops were planted near the river, and if it overflows it will greatly affect the fields.
Check this out, the coconut plantation can be seen anywhere. A large number of coconut trees can be seen in the mountainous areas too. Knowing that this tree is called the Tree of Life, even in the coastal areas this has been planted. The array of coconut trees gives an incredible view that is soothing to one's senses. This can be a good source of living. All are beneficial from the leaves down to the roots which are beneficial to one's health.
The fine and stunning white sand on the beach can be found here in San Remegio. This is frequently visited by tourists who are looking for great relaxation. This is one of the towns that has a beautiful shoreline due to its incredible white sand.
I have spotted them enjoying the abundance of the fishes in the sea. Aside from agriculture, fishing can be a good source of living for the people residing near the sea.
Filipinos are known to be hardworking which is essential for survival. This is vital to reach greatness in life. The sunset symbolizes the hope that another day will rise. This great value is cherished by every Filipino as this will teach perseverance and determination. Whether it is agriculture or fishing, the Pinoys' intellect for long-term success can be attained through hard work.
The travels that I have experienced taught me different lessons in life. Discovering great things has given me a better understanding and taught me about life's worth. In the end, I realized that being hardworking will lead us to a better future where there is contentment and happiness.
That's all for this blog and thank you for spending enough time reading until the end.
