Living alone means being responsible enough of handling things. When I was younger, I never worry about not having food for the next day because I know my parents are there. I do not worry about the bills such as water and electric bills because I am sure enough my parents have never been late in their paying duties. Now that I live on my own, I have to do these things all alone.
It was Friday and I ran out of food and other groceries in the house so I decided to go to Bogo. After buying things and stuff for my consumption, the weather was just too hot to handle so I decided to find a store that offers drinks for a hot afternoon.
Looking back, I remembered this milk tea store that I used to visit before. So at the back of my mind, I had to go there and see how time brought changes there. But to my surprise, it bears now its new name, Antea Cafe.
Before I went inside, I took a photo of its facade. Right on the doorstep, they place two kinds of giant plants and I found this big rubber tree beautiful. It adds a positive ambiance to the store.
I pulled out the door and got inside. My eyes were going to and fro on the list of the drinks that they offer. It took a minute before my eyes were locked in the Frappe section.
A little throwback. When I was still working in CDU ESL at North Reclamation Area, Mandaue City, there was a Gentlemen Cafe around the area. During weekends, I could spend half of my Saturday in the store, enjoying its free wifi and ordering a glass of cookies and cream frappe. This is my all-time favorite.
With that throwback, I decided to order a frappe but to my disappointment, the lady told me that it was unavailable. I asked her why and she explained. So I carefully examine the rest of the list and decided to order a Velvet Cheesecake and a Chocolate Mousse Latte. All large. For takeout.
While my order was still prepared, I got the chance to roam around and took photos of the place.
The lights are simple but they add positive vibes around the area. It adds a cozy factor that most customers were after.
The front area is decorated with catchy and vibrant visualization of the different cups and flavors of the drinks they offer. It is colorful and pleasing to the senses.
The tables and chairs are comfortable to sit on. The black sofa complements the white table which even made the whole area spacious and homey.
And wait, take a look at this wall. It was painted with various cups, of different sizes and colors, having cheesy conversations with other cups. The idea is just so witty!
This wall serves as a beautiful background, perfect for taking photos whether a solo selfie or a group photo with friends.
After nearly eight minutes, the order was served. Thirsty enough, I took a sip of Chocolate Mousse Latte, and true enough, it quenched my thirst. The taste was not too sweet or the other way around. It perfectly hit my taste.
Wondering what the Velvet Cheesecake Latte is for? It's for the partner who never says no to driving when I want to step out of the house and go for a road trip. Such a supportive admirer. What?😂
Antea Cafe - Bogo is located across Novo and Imperial Appliances, beside Balamban Liempo.
