Nick's Story

Hello everyone! I am thrilled to be a part of the Hive community. It excites me to socialize with new people, share ideas, and explore communities that I am interested in here on Hive. I want to make new friends and join communities that will help me meet and get to know more new people. And I will properly introduce myself.
My name is Nick Jeferson Ferolino, and usually, my friends call me Nick or Jeff. I'm 21 years old and currently pursuing my passion for programming. I'm a curious person, so I really love digging into everything that I can learn and expanding my knowledge; that can be an advantage for me. There's always room for improvement, so I am always trying to do something new that I can enjoy and use in my daily life. I truly believe in the quote, “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance!” Oscar Wilde. The kindest thing we can do to ourselves is to accept what we are and love our flaws. As a student, I strive to learn while also trying to earn money to pay for equipment and other useful things for my school. Balancing academics and financial responsibilities can be a bit challenging, but I believe it will teach me the value of time management, independence, and consistency to get the things I want and need. While I'm young, I want as much experience as I can to make it my strength when I become an adult someday. My hobbies in life are drawing, cooking, gaming, exercising, and many more. I do a lot of cooking as an older brother who has three other siblings, and usually, their parents are working tirelessly every day and don't have time to cook for us.
As we grow older, our bodies likely get easily sick; that's why I keep myself fit as I regularly exercise on weekdays and run on weekends. My kind of fun when I am bored and don't have any other things to do is to either play games or draw random things and practice sketching a person. I also love to travel, and the best places I want to go are beaches and mountains. The scenery and the vibes will help me get rid of my stress in my studies, and these are the kinds of places that make me feel free from everything. I also want to visit museums and learn more about the history. I love to hike, especially in mountains, because it relieves me to see the beauty of nature, and it also helps me to have more stamina and strong legs to move. I love documenting wherever I am as a souvenir for my future self that will remind me that there is always beauty no matter how tough life can be. There's still a lot of things I want to do and places I want to go to, but as a student, I still lack money to go to the places I want to be with and lack the courage to face what's coming to my life.
WHY I JOINED HIVE. My reason for joining the hive is because I love to write, and I want to use my knowledge and creativity in something that can interest people who are reading my blogs, and also it will help broaden my vocabulary in English writing and help me use proper grammar and punctuation. I see this platform as an opportunity to increase my knowledge and interests. I joined the hive because, from what I've heard from a friend of mine, people write their blogs about the journeys of their lives and socializing with one another. I'm also looking forward to being a part of this community and to contributing whatever I can, no matter how big or small it is. And I am excited to discover different communities within Hive and to learn more about life that is far from my hometown.
WHAT CAN I CONTRIBUTE TO HIVE? I am excited to share my experiences and the beauty of places I've ever been to with this community. I will write about the places I've ever been to, the fun things, the memories I got from my journey, and the friends I've made along with it. I hope my blogs will inspire the readers to visit the places I've been to and to attract more people to have the courage to travel to places, whether they are alone or with friends. I am also looking forward to what people of this community can help me to go out and overcome the fear of going to a more far place than I've ever been to. I want to make friends along my journey here in the hive community. I hope that Hive can help build discipline and consistency in what I'm passionate about. This may be a bit of a challenge since I'll be writing a lot of words, but I'll do my best as I can to share my experiences and efforts to post something good that can attract my fellow Filipinos and foreigners.
WHO INTRODUCED ME TO HIVE? My friend @milesinverse introduces me and tells me what Hive is. As she conversed with me on what hive about is and the things that you can do with it, she also said you can freely express your experiences and thoughts on your journeys and daily happenings in life. Then Miss @jeannmazing, gave me more idea of what this community was about, as she explained how hive works and encourages those people who want to write and to express their thoughts and feelings of their journeys and gave me more reason as to why I should join the hive platform. I am thankful as they encourage me to join this community. I look forward to contributing to this growing community, and I hope my passion for writing excites people to read and to learn. I can't wait to start my journey here on the Hive platform. 💙💙
