It was still 4:00 A.M when I woke up. We had a schedule for the laboratory for my upcoming follow-up check up so I had to get up early to prepare. We didn't want to experience heavy traffic while commuting, so we had to at least get to the highway before 6:00 A.M. Thankfully, we just made it before our target time. The highway was not that noisy because there were fewer vehicles bustling around. After all, it's early so the street still not filled with busy bodies. There aren't many people, but there are some students who have classes on students who are already with us in the vehicle.
We arrived at the hospital just before 7:00 A.M. Since it was Sunday, there weren't many people around—only the guardians and visitors of the patient in the E.R. and wards. The laboratory tests just went smoothly and in just less than half an hour, my laboratory tests were finished. I planned to attend the Sunday mass afterwards, but it's still quite early so we decided to just walk our way towards the multicab stop. The rays of the sun were starting to feel a little bit stinging, so we decided to walk faster. By the time we arrived at the stop, my feet were quite sore haha.
Like usual Sundays, as soon as it was past 8:00 in the morning, the heat coming from the sun became scorching. We often go to church at 5:00 P.M. to avoid it but since we have to go to hospital, we need to adjust our schedule. My mother have a prior obligation this morning so I attended the mass alone. Of 'course attending mass just by myself felt different because during the peace be with you part, there'll be no one you can hug or in my case, I usually pat their shoulders during that time so earlier, I just smiled at the people around me as I wish them peace.
I'm in no hurry so I decided to just walk and use my fare for some snacks. I just walked lazily while looking up at the sky. The sun was already up in its full glory, but despite its terrific heat, there were still clouds up there. The shapes of the clouds were nice—it's like I'm seeing a painting out of the canvas. I walked on our usual shortcut route and there, despite the high temperature, I saw goats that were out eating grass cozily. I kinda felt pity for them because it's really hot out there—especially if noon came. I hope their owners will move them before it becomes too hot.
As I got closer to the cornfield near our house, the path became clearer of plants. The month of May already ended yesterday and I can't believe how time flies so fast. The last semester for my second year just ended, but still, it didn't feel like I'm on vacation. Rainy season is approaching so I don't feel the vacation vibes at all. Anyway, even though May ended, there are still flowers in bloom and one of them is the pretty yellow bell I found on the way. I stopped for a while when I saw it and there I rested. It was almost 11:00 when I checked my phone and while standing there, I heard bees buzzing around me.
I'm still under the yellow bell so I wasn't surprised that there are some of them buzzing around. They sound mesmerizing but I covered my ears when some of them got really close to me. When the sun got blocked by the clouds, I continued my way home, but I again stopped occasionally to take a pic—because why not? The weather is so fine and everything so bright and for me, it would be a waste not to savor this remaining summer feels, right? My lone walk concluded as I arrived at the front door of our house and as I opened the door, Heihei immediately approached me with his signature high-pitched cries.
So much for my lone walk, how about you—how did you spend your Sunday? Hope you're also doing well and that's all for today Hivers. See you on my next blog!
