One look and everything becomes clearer, one look and everything becomes breathable, one look at the sky - a clear blue sky, our beautiful and bright sky.
Every day after lunch, I make it a habit to stop using my phone and rest my eyes, that's me limiting my screen time on my smartphone. I gave my eyes two hours of rest. And those two hours seem forever to me, as I am used to using my phone anywhere and anytime. My technique was to charge my phone at midnight, then use it all day. Fortunately, I can still use my phone all day, but the bad news is that my eyes and hands were overused because of that.
But either way, what's important is that I am making a change now little by little, for a healthy body and healthy mind. Doing this is just the start, I am really planning to also start exercising. I'm nearing 30 now, so having a healthy lifestyle is a must, or if not, a necessity, if I want to stay in shape. I just hope I successfully do this one. For the better me ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ.
So, as I was saying, spending the 2 hours of free time I have in the afternoon is really hard. I usually take that time to take a short nap before, but I just don't want to sleep during that time now. I just don't feel like doing it because I could get a lot of sleep at night, and I also sleep earlier now, sometimes I sleep at 7:30 or 8 and wake up at 5, and that's a lot of sleep.
And because I have a lot of free time, I just take that time to sort things out in my room. Clean somewhere, fold my dirty clothes, play with our cats, walk around the house, or just listen to music. Sometimes, when I really don't have anything to do, I will also just listen to what Mom is listening to on YouTube outside the house.
She usually listens to a drama or horror story on her cellphone using a loud speaker, you know, the kind of drama that has voice actors and actresses. They still exist now, just like before, when TV was still super expensive for us to have. The only difference is that we can search for them on YouTube and listen to them that instant, and we don't have to wait anymore when they are on the FM radio. I find them cringe sometimes, but I end up listening to them too, especially if it is a horror story.
And today, I just did that, I couldn't help but listen to it. I was so drawn into it that the music I was listening to on my headphones suddenly vanished. I was too focused on the story I was listening to. The story was about a couple. They move into the province while the wife is pregnant. To make a long story short, the husband found something about his wife, and bla bla bla. It seems like some cliche story you often watch in a movie, but it's also a good one. I just find the voice actors cringe at times, lol.
So I finished listening to the story, so it's time to do other things. I still have free time, and I noticed that the sky looks prettier today. It's really hot when I took this, and it's a beautiful day with a beautiful sky. I missed these gorgeous blessings. I spent a little time here while also checking the guava trees that sprout on the other side. We still have the old guava tree, and now we have more. I love it. I haven't tried eating its fruit, but Mama said that it is so sweet, even though it is still small. I can't remember the last time I ate guava fruit.
After the walk I spent time watching the sky because I still had more free time. I spend the rest of my time playing with the baby kittens. They are more than one month old now and really active. They really love to play around. There are times too that they will hurt each other in the process, but you know how cats are- "the play must go on" to them. Their happy playtime will end up being war time, lol. But if I stop them with their war time, they will just do it again until they really end up hurt.
And look at this little whitey messing with her sleeping mom, lol. She's too cute, I want to shower her with a lot of kisses, lol. And she took her time playing like that, sometimes she also followed her mom's tail like it was some feather that she would run for. She treats it like a toy. But her mom is unbothered and too busy sleeping. While her siblings were having breast milk, she was just running around. But, after this short play, in the end she also decided to have fun by forcing herself in the middle of her siblings, lol. Like seriously (≧▽≦).
