Hello, wonderful people of this amazing community. How are you today? How was your New Year's celebration? I hope you are safe and healthy because today is the second day of our first month of 2025, and there is much to pray for.
The year 2024 has gone yet a lot of memories to be cherished and unforgettable lessons to be absorbed. Some of us have our goals achieved but some also failed to achieve their New Year's goal. Whatever we accomplish for the last year, let's be all grateful for it, and let's continue to work on our goals hoping for better days ahead of us.
1. Letting go will help you grow
According to the famous line, change is inevitable and change is the only constant thing in this world. When we hear the word change, sometimes it's painful and hard to accept. When there are changes to our usual routines, we sometimes complain because of the different reasons we had in our mind, All of us had a hard time letting go of someone we cherished so much. But we cannot beat change. There will always be changes even if we perfectly plan our life. This year taught me that letting go will help you grow as a person.
At first, it was so painful, because we were not used to this and we needed somebody to always hear our decisions, but what if that person was not with us anymore? Will our life stop? No, we need to move forward and learn to let go. We need to accept that sometimes letting go will make you grow and will help you with your decision-making.
2. Keeping your mind and body healthy
As we grow older, we need to maintain our mind and body healthy. Having a healthy mind will help us to think better. If our body is weak, our decisions in life will also be affected. This year, I started to make healthy food as my intake. But I failed to maintain it. I usually prepare fruits and veggies as my lunch meal but if laziness strikes, I cannot make it and do the usual routines of eating.
I also started to have a morning jog or walk, even for a while because as I grew older, I could feel that my body became weaker and it's not healthy anymore. It's a matter of our own choice if we have to make a change to our daily routines to make our mind and body healthier or pretend and stay the same and make our body unfit.
3. Connect with your family and friends whom you can rely on
Connections are important in our life. According to the famous quote of Thomas Merton, "No man is an island". We need to connect with our family and friends whom we can rely on. If we do not connect and put up barriers, we will become lonely and helpless.
Life will become better if we have our friends to talk to and express our ups and downs, sentiments and problems in life and our families will also help us provide love and warmth every time we are upset and down. If life is messy I will always call my friends and meet for a while for I know they will not judge me but listen to my sentiments. My family also is my greatest supporter every time I fall. They will always be there guiding me.
4. Enjoy every challenge of life
Life is amazing. Sometimes we are bombarded with difficulties and struggles but we always look forward to finding solutions to them. As the year 2024 ended, we survived the battles we encountered. We had a lot to be thankful for.
The blessings received, the friendship gained, the achievements reached, and the unity among our families. It was not an easy battle, sometimes we failed but we never gave up. Life is full of challenges and giving up should not be an option but our motivation to be better and fulfill our journey. Enjoy every challenge thrown at you because it's a fulfilling moment when you know you have reached the peak.
As we continue our goals in life, we may find inspiration to become better and to help ourselves fulfill our dreams. It's not easy as it is but we need to make a step to change our lives. Let's be grateful for the things that happened and for the things that never happened this year. Cherish every moment with your loved ones for time will never go back again.
