I am a loving daughter and a competent student. I push myself to the highest limits because I believe I have the potential to succeed in life. Tourism was not my first choice or I really was not planning to attend college because I want to work and help my family and I just have the mindset "why go to college when i can work already" but my mother insisted for me to continue learning. And tourism was the only course left because it was almost the end of the enrollment, so I took the opportunity without knowing anything about this course. Funny to reminisce but now I enjoy the tourism course because one of my greatest passions is traveling, I was influenced by aunt Mj, she does like to travel a lot.
I get excited every time I discover new places and new experiences. I did travel a lot for the past years, and one of my favorite travels, was my vacation in Siargao. We spent 3 days and 2 nights in Siargao and experienced island hopping, surfing, socializing and also enjoying delicious food. Aside from that joyous travel experience I also enjoyed it more because I get to spend it with my cousins, which makes it more exciting and memorable since my cousins are the only people I consider my best friend or partner in crime.
As a person, I’d describe myself as adventurous and lighthearted. I love trying new things, embracing challenges, and approaching life with a sense of optimism and humor. While other people's first impression on me is snobby and strict because of my eyes and I rarely smile but when they get to know me I'm so opposite of their first impression. I believe in saying the "laughter is the best medicine" that's why i find humor in every day situation.
My Interests and Hobbies
I also love singing, it holds a special place in my heart because it is a way for me to express my emotions and connect with others. During my first year in college, I even took part in the Tourism Got Talent competition, where me, and my partner sang Titanium and had a blast because our notes were so high and it made the whole crowd cheer and we even won 2nd place. That was an enjoyable memory and I like it when I challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone.
Recently I challenged myself by joining the pageant after five years of not competing. It was nerve wrecking but a rewarding experience that pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone and embrace new challenges. Although I was not placed in the competition, the experience taught me to embrace positivity and focus on personal growth and how I love pushing myself beyond my limits. While I was just asked by my mother to join, I see it as an opportunity to connect with other people.
Another fun fact about me is I used to play futsal during highschool. I even got a chance to play the 4th Sen. Angara Unity Cup and our university won in futsal. It was such an exciting and dynamic sport that allowed me to develop my teamwork skills, stay active, and form friendships with my teammates.
Nowadays, aside from traveling and cooking, I find joy in helping others whenever I can. Whether it’s volunteering at my local community like helping youth in our purok, offering a listening ear to a friend in need, or simply lending a helping hand to a stranger, because I do believe that acts of kindness can make a big difference in the world.
