Most of us were devastated by Typhoon Odette, but despite the difficulties we faced during and after the storm, there are still many things to be grateful for, particularly our friends, family, and coworkers who are always willing to assist us in our recovery. We, @thegoodbi, are grateful to our firm, which went above and beyond to assist us in any manner imaginable.
INQUIRING ABOUT OUR NEEDS
When we, the employees, returned to work, our superiors inquired about our well-being, whose residences had been partially or completely damaged, and what our needs or what they could do to assist us, which made us quite grateful.
FREE CHARGING
After the storm, while the entire city was without power, most of our coworkers went to the office to have our devices charged. Although the diesel in the office's generator set is running low, we are grateful that the corporation permitted us to charge our devices. We are merely requested to switch off the air conditioning in the office so that we can charge more devices.
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH FOR FREE
We work in a food production company, our products are in high demand, particularly at this time of disaster, thus we must continue to strive to meet the needs of the people. Starting December 21-24, our bosses suggested a free breakfast and lunch. We have colleagues who are in charge of meal preparation, and we assist them in preparing and distributing the food.
WATER FOR FREE (FOR BATH AND OTHER NECESSITIES)
The office's water comes from a deep well, the office has a supply of water. The management determined that employees could bring a gallon of water from the office to use for bathing or other purposes. Some of our coworkers had a bath at work so they wouldn't have to carry heavy jugs home.
DRINKING WATER REFILLING
Because the lines at water refilling stations are quite long, and some of our colleagues' drinking water supplies at home are running short, the firm decided to allow employees to bring 1 gallon of water, with management arranging transportation for the replenishing of drinking water. The employee will just have to pay for the refill water.
RICE, HAM AND CANNED GOODS FOR FREE
Every December, the firm gives the employees a rice allowance (equal to 25 kilos of rice) as a present that is credited to our payrolls, but after the storm, the company provided the employees an extra five kilos of rice. Employees are assisting with the repackaging of the 5 kilos of rice. Apart from that, because the electricity has not yet been restored, the delivery of Christmas Hams has been postponed until a later date closer to Christmas. We were also given canned goods after Christmas.
IN CASH SALARY
We were paid in cash by the management, so we didn't have to wait in a big line at the ATM.
OTHER AFFECTED PEOPLE'S RELIEF GOODS
The corporation had also purchased relief supplies for those who had been impacted by the disaster. The repacking station is located in the office, where employees and our bosses' families assisted in the repacking and delivery of relief supplies.
SNACKS
Delicious snacks are provided for staff who participated in repacking relief products to be distributed to employees and anyone affected by the disaster.
We are grateful to our company for extending their assistance to the best of their skills. It is, without a doubt, of immense assistance to the personnel.
THE GOOD B.I. is a group of 4 employees-friends from Cebu City wanting to share their adventures and random ideas with everyone. The groupβs future stories to tell will be so vast and diverse. Imagine having four brains to share different ideas and might end up in a disagreement. A feat that others might be so fearful to do, but they believe that it is what will make their posts more exceptional and remarkable.
If you want to see more posts from @thegoodbi - an upvote, comment, follow, and reblog would mean a lot to them. It would motivate them and learn more from their audience. Thank you and let us all keep safe. π·
