Hello Hiveans! During this pandemic, we are experiencing a lot of changes to our usual activities. From our daily routine like day-to-day commute, buying groceries and even the simplest handshake, it makes me wonder if everything can still go back to normal.
When it was still an early onset in our country, everyone was still so relaxed. Only some were wearing masks and doing frequent hand washing. I for one, was not comfortable wearing mask all the time. But as the cases were increasing, and community quarantine was about to be implemented, people started to panic. A lot were racing to come home before travel bans started. Supplies began to become scarce because of the influx of buyers panicking to buy rolls of tissues and bottles of alcohol. My family and I even joined the flock and bought sacks of rice and cans of preserved goods. We'll never know when can we will our next trip to the groceries will be.
The pandemic is really scary, considering there are some who are asymptomatic. Unknowingly, we can come across someone who have the virus. Just one miss of those health protocols, there is a high chance your getting it too. Since I'm living with my parents who are both seniors, this increased my fear. The uncomfortable feeling of wearing mask all the time disappeared. Aside from wearing a mask, I also followed the health protocols such as frequent handwashing and sanitizing of surfaces.
As mentioned, just a simple miss, there is a great chance of being infected. Unfortunately, our family was hit by this pandemic. It was my father who had a bit serious symptoms but we are glad he can still breathe normally. It was not easy being in home quarantine. Especially if you were judged by others. Some neighbors would pass a different route just to refrain from passing near our area. Neighborhood Sari-Sari stores near our area were even affected since people also stopped buying from them. We were still blessed that there were kind-hearted neighbors who brought us food and necessities. There were also others who offered their services if we needed something to buy or other errands.
So much with that negativity and let's start to think on the brighter side. What if this pandemic will end soon and our lives can go back to normal, not just the 'new' normal but the 'before-the-pandemic' normal. What will be the first things on your list?
As an initiative of @hiveph, here is my entry to Hive PH Contest: Your Post Pandemic List:
1. Enjoy a date with friends and loved ones
Nowadays, I never get to enjoy a date or a night out. Restaurants are implementing health protocols that you can't sit together with others. So if your going to talk to your friend from the other table, for sure other diners can hear what you're gossiping about. Karaoke nights are also not possible due to closed karaoke bars and early curfew.

When this is over, I will meet my friends and probably dine out and enjoy a couple of songs at the karaoke bar. Then continue catching up over a cup of coffee. Probably some of them can already come home from other provinces or countries.
2. Run
On early weekend mornings I get fond of having a quick run just within the neighborhood. Because of the need to wear masks in going out, I have a hard time to run while having it on. Instead, I just walk around to make my knee joints work without having difficulty in breathing. To also cope with that, I just do indoor exercises. Soon hopefully I can jog again and join fun runs. It's been a while since my last race.

Can't imagine I survived my first 12km run
3. Go to the beach
Who doesn't love vitamin sea? Cebu is an island blessed with beautiful beaches. With just a less hour ride I would be able to reach a nearby beach. But ongoing health protocols only allow residents in the area to swim. Senior citizens and children under 21 years old are still not allowed to go out. Hopefully when health protocols are eliminated I would be able to visit these beaches with my family (including our pets since they haven't been to beaches so far). Maybe I haven't been to all of the beautiful sandy beaches of Cebu. So it will be on my bucketlist to experience all these pristine waters of Cebu.

Within the Philippines, I am looking forward to famous sandy beaches of Camiguin and Palawan. Boracay is already off the list since I have visited it last year. I do love enjoying the warm breeze of the sea. I can just imagine how relaxing it would be to rest under a tree while looking at the calm beach.

4. Food tripping
Before, even just a couple of times in a month, I always find time to visit restaurants and food stalls that I haven't been before. Of course, I prioritize those with good reviews and affordable ones. Restaurants and food shops are already open but due to limited seat capacities, you would find yourself to eat fast especially if there are a lot of hungry people waiting outside. You can picture yourself being stared at if you take a long time to eat and still finding that perfect lighting for your food porn. So you can't really enjoy your food that much. When the pandemic is over, I would take my time to document my food findings and munch the food.

5. TRAVEL!!
Wandergirl wouldn't be wandergirl if she couldn't wander to new places. I'm starting to get restless if I can't go out. Thankfully, Hive have helped me to see new places through other's posts and also share mine through Travel Memories. If travel bans will soon be lifted, I will surely be racing to the province to smell the freshness of freedom. 😁

I'm really looking forward to have another outside country experience. Supposedly our next travel destination was Hongkong. First, we cancelled our flight due to the ongoing protests there. When it became calmer there, the pandemic also started. So it was really not meant to be to visit Hongkong soon. Once everything gets to be normal, we are letting another chance to visit this place.

The pandemic has taught us lessons and different realizations. That is, making the most out of everything from experiences and the time we spent with our loved ones. Even just at home, we can still make new memories and get to know our loved ones better. Let's just cross our fingers as we move towards the end of the year, we can already start to tick our post pandemic bucketlist.
