Hello lovely hivers and hello Hive PH Community. I hope you are having a good day today.
It's been two days since Bagyong Karding hit our province and in my 30 years of existence this is the first time that I experienced this kind of typhoon.
Sunday morning is a fine day. It's a silent morning with little rain but those silence gives me a scary feeling of what will going to happen on the rest of the day. I am monitoring the status of the typhoon as our province was signal no. 5 and I am alone in the house together with the two kids.
The whole Sunday had a little rain and the news stated that the typhoon will have it landfall here in our place at 8:00 PM. My other relatives told me to stay at thier house because they are worried but I told them that we will stay in our house together with my father.
It's 7:30 PM when the power interruption happened and thats the time that I opened our windows to look outside.
9:00 PM when the strong wind started to blow. We are praying because we really hear our roof. We are praying and being alert of what will happened next. I am carrying my son because anytime our roof in our room will going to detached from the wall. It's my first time to experience it and my whole body was shaking because of fear not for me but for our house and my son.
I witnessed how our roof being detached and because of panic we go outside and went to our neighborhood. My father and my husband stayed on our house to try saving our roof. We just keep on praying until they announced that the typhoon already leave our province.
It's 12 midnight when the wind became low. Our neighborhood offered some coffee but even if I àm a coffee lover I can't able to drink some as I am already palpitating.
We transferred to our house at 1:00 PM and our roof is save. My father and my husband hang themselves to pull the roof though we still need to fix it.
Our house was so messy because of the wind but it's fine because we are safe.
I had no sleep on that night before I'm still scared of the wind blew and a few sounds of roof outside.
I am really thankful because we are all safe. I'm also thankful to my husband because he takes good care of everything.
In the next article I will share to you the aftermath of the typhoon. We don't have a power supply here now and the signal is not so good.
PS: The signal became weak and weak as I am writing this article and I can't arrange the photos on the right place. I just want to update you guys of what happened to us. Stay safe everyone.
