Herkese merhabaaaa!!!

Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Ben iyiyim. Silivri'de bir kafenin el değiştirdiğini ve bununla birlikte de hem isim hem de tema değiştirdiğini öğrendik. Bunun ardından ise hemen buraya gitmeye karar verdik arkadaşımla birlikte.

Ne yazık ki kafenin müşteri portföyü bizim hoşumuza gitmese de Antik Mısır temasına bayıldım. Tam benim yerim diyeceğim ama bu yerin benim yerim olmamasının asıl sebebi gelen lise ya da üniversite öğrencileri değil onları "avlamak" amaçlı gelen sapık erkekler...

Neyse. Biz kafeye dönelim.

Kafenin eski adı Contra ama şu anda ise Egypt olması gerekiyor. Girişi de buna uygun olarak Antik Mısır Tanrı'larının resimleri ile bezemişler. Bu eşikten geçtiğiniz anda da sanki kendinizi Türkiye'de değil de bambaşka bir ülkedeki bir kafede hissediyorsunuz. Ambiansı harika yakalamışlar.

Duvardaki resimler ve işlemeler, sandalyeler ve daha nicesi. Yukarı katat çıktığımda genç kızlardan oluşan bir arkadaş grubu vardı ve onları rahatsız etmek istemediğimden dolayı hemen orayı terk ettim ama yukarısı da çok güzeldi.

Etrafta ana vatanı Türkiye olmayan bir çok yapay çiçek türü de vardı. Aslında çok yakınlarına gitmeden anlayamadım bu çiçeklerin yapay olduklarını ve buna da bir bütçe ayırdıkları çok belli çünkü daha yeni kendim bir tane almak istedim ama orta boy bir yapay çiçek 2000 TL kadardı. Bence pahalı.

Bu kafenin Bubble Tea'leri meşhurmuş. Biz ikimiz de Mango-çilek aromalı olanı söyledik. Bence sadece bununla ünlü olmasını gerektirecek bir özelliği de yoktu. Klasik Tapioca yerine o şeffaf olan bubble'lardan yapılan şeyler vardı... Şu zamana kadar burada sadece bir yerinkini beğendim ve bugün ya da yarın oraya gidip bir tane alsam iyi olacak 😂

Öyle Bubble Tea olmadan ölürüm diyenlerden değilim ama arkadaşımla muhabbet ederken güzel bir tane olsa harika olur. Soğuk kahveden bir süre sonra bıkıyor insan ki ben aynılarını evde de yapabiliyorum. En azından dışarıda da içtiklerimi.

Son olarak söylemek isterim ki umarım bu kafenin müşteri kitlesi düzelir. Olabileceğini düşünmüyorum ama genç kızlar için en azından rahatlıkla vakit geçirebilecekleri bir yerin varlığı gerekiyor. Keşke o insan müsveddesinin de fotoğrafını çekseydim de ifşalasaydım....

Kafenin geliştirmesi gereken bir menüsü var fakat farklı bir vibe istediğimizde gidebileceğimiz bir yer. Sanırım burası ile ilgili düşüncelerim bu kadar. Sonra görüşmek üzere. Kendinize dikkat edin, sağlık ve sevgiyle kalın ve lütfen unutmayın ki;

I hope you're doing well or are trying to be well. I'm doing fine. We found out that a café in Silivri had changed ownership, and with that, it also changed both its name and theme. So my friend and I immediately decided to check it out.

Unfortunately, even though we didn’t really vibe with the café’s customer crowd, I absolutely loved the Ancient Egypt theme. I’d say “this place is totally my vibe,” but the real reason it isn’t my place has nothing to do with the high school or college students there, it’s the creepy men who show up just to “hunt” them…

Anyway, back to the café.

Its old name was Contra, but I believe it's now called Egypt. They’ve decorated the entrance with images of Ancient Egyptian gods, and as soon as you step through, it really feels like you're not in Türkiye anymore, but in a café somewhere completely different. They truly nailed the ambiance.

The wall art, carvings, chairs, and so much more… When I went upstairs, there was a group of young women hanging out. I didn’t want to disturb them, so I left quickly, but that floor looked lovely, too.

There were also all kinds of artificial flowers, many of which aren’t native to Türkiye. Honestly, I couldn’t even tell they were fake until I got up close. It’s clear they invested in them, just the other day I tried to buy one myself, and a medium-sized artificial flower was around 2000 TL! That’s pricey, if you ask me.

Apparently, this café is known for its bubble tea. We both ordered the mango-strawberry flavour. Personally, I didn’t think it was anything special or worthy of fame. Instead of classic tapioca pearls, they used those transparent popping bubbles... So far, there's only one place here whose bubble tea I actually liked, maybe I’ll stop by again today or tomorrow and get one 😂

I'm not one of those "I can’t live without bubble tea!" people, but having a good one while chatting with a friend is always a plus. After a while, cold coffee just gets boring—especially when I can make the same drinks at home anyway.

Lastly, I really hope the customer base at this café improves. I don’t think it will, honestly, but young women deserve to have a safe, comfortable space to hang out. I wish I had taken a photo of that sorry excuse for a man so I could’ve exposed him…

The café could also use a better menu, but it's a place we can go to when we're looking for something different. I think that’s all I’ve got to say about it for now. See you later. Take care of yourself, stay in health and love, and please remember that;
