I am very sick these days. I spend my time either in the hospital or in bed. But today is the anniversary of the Maraş earthquake, which I promised I would not forget. The day that was called the disaster of the century and according to official records, more than 50 thousand people died.
I experienced the hardest night of my life on 06.02.2023. The whole country and even the world was shaken by the news of the great earthquake. Two years have passed. Most people are still in mourning. Many people are still homeless. Today, I attended the painting exhibition in Konyaaltı Municipality for the earthquake commemoration day.
Earthquake-themed paintings and sculptures of Fine Arts school students deeply affect people. The pictures depicting what people went through on the night of the earthquake are saddening. You start to remember the faces and stories of the people we lost in the earthquake. And it devastates me to think that thousands of lives were lost due to negligence.
I think the angel statue made from earthquake rubble sums it all up. You feel like you are under the rubble, where the clocks have stopped and silent screams echo. You feel ashamed of living even a little bit while breathing.
Today, I experienced the earthquake and what happened after the earthquake over and over again. I haven't forgotten, I won't forget. It was not the earthquake that killed those people, but negligence. And I know that unfortunately this will not be the last time. The killer of people is again greedy, ambitious and ignorant human beings.
Disasters and earthquakes will always continue to exist. But dying in an earthquake is not fate, it is ignorance. I hope human life will be more valuable than money in the world. The principle of keeping people alive first prevails everywhere in the world.
I have been afraid in January and February for two years. I lose sleep at night. I feel like something bad will happen at any moment. In the first months of every year, a disaster or extraordinary events occur. Like the fire in Bolu. Now it's like the volcanic mountain incident in Italy. Merhaba arkadaşlar. Bugün günlerden 06.02. Kendime verdiğim bir söz var; unutmayacağım. Bugün Maraş depreminin yıl dönümü.
Bugünlerde çok hastayım. Zamanım ya hastahane de yada yatak da geçiyor. Ama bugün unutmayacağıma söz verdiğim Maraş depreminin yıl dönümü. Asrın felaketi olarak adlandırılan ve resmi kayıtlara göre 50 bin kişiden fazla insanın öldüğü gün.
06.02.2023 tarihinde hayatımın en zor gecesini yaşadım. Bütün ülke hatta dünya büyük deprem haberi ile sarsıldı. Üzerinden iki yıl geçti. İnsanların çoğu hala yasta. Bir çok insan hala evsiz. Bugün depremi anma günü için Konyaaltı Belediyesin deki resim sergisine katıldım.
Güzel Sanatlar okulu öğrencilerinin deprem temalı resim ve heykelkeri insanı derinden etkiliyor. Deprem gecesi insanların yaşadıklarını anlatan resimler hüzünlendiriyor. Depremde kaybettiğimiz insanların yüzleri ve hikayelerini tekrar hatırlamaya başlıyorsunuz. Ve binlerce canın ihmalden öldürdüğünü düşünmek beni kahrediyor.
Deprem molozlarından yapılan melek heykeli sanırım herseyi özetliyor. Kendinizi saatlerin durduğu, sessiz çığlıkların yankılandığı, göçük altında hissediyorsunuz. Nefes alrken biraz olsun yaşadığınızdan utanıyorsunuz.
Bugün depremi ve deprem sonunda yaşananları tekrar tekrar yaşadım. Unutmadım, unutmayacağım. O insanları deprem değil ihmal öldürdü. Ve biliyorum ki maalesef bu son olmadı olmayacak. İnsanın katili yine aç gözlü, hırslı ve cahil insanoğlu.
Afetler ve depremler her zaman var olmaya devam edecek . Ama depremde ölmek kader değil cehaletdir. Umarım dünyada insan hayatı paradan daha değerli olur. Dünyanın her yerinde önce insanı yaşatmak ilkesi hakim olur.
İki yıldır Ocak ve Şubat aylarında korkuyorum. Geceleri uykum kaçıyor. Sanki her an kötü bir sey olacak gibi hissediyorum. Her yıl ilk aylar bir afet yada olağanüstü olaylar oluyor. Boluda ki yangın gibi. Şimdi İtalya daki yanar dağ olayı gibi. Sanırım insanoğlu yaptıklarının sınavlarını vermeye devam ediyor. Okuduğunuz için teşekkür ederim.
