While browsing Reddit, I came across the screenshot of a tweet and it was one of those memes that happened to be very relatable as a coder.
Fact of the matter is that I hate the mundane, the tedious, and any task that can serve as the analogous monkey pushing a button.
And I ain't no damn dirty ape! (Obligatory throwback vid)

I was thinking potato when I first opened but toaster works, too. Basically the needsmorejpeg video equivalent.
Yeah, so often I like to seek out the more "elegant" solution but sometimes this is not the most efficient. I'll give an example.
I am no stranger to interfacing w. NET classes on Windows systems and you can do a lot of amazing things that may not be possible using the GUI (graphical user interface) or basic command line tools. One capability that I become aware of is interacting with tools from Microsoft Office suite namely Excel.
Essentially, I figured out how to code the input of data to specific cells in a spreadsheet rather than having to copy/paste individually like some sort of barbarian or so I thought. In the grand scheme of things, the amount of time it would have taken to do the same manually would have maybe been 20 minutes.
Why take 20 minutes to do something that I can automate in an couple hours?
Yeah, I thought it didn't make sense either yet here we are indulging in my self-deprecating reflections on how I am apt to waste time in the most elaborate ways possible. Reminds me of this board game fron back in the day.

Who remembers Mouse Trap?
