En todas las temporadas suele haber un "mejor del resto", un piloto que no está en los equipos de punta, y que domina por detrás de los pilotos que pelean el campeonato. Mercedes y Red Bull están a otro nivel, por lo que este piloto "mejor del resto" debe de estar en alguno de estos equipos: McLaren, Ferrari, Alpha Tauri, Alpine, etc. Luego de 2 carreras en 2021, Lando Norris se encuentra tercero en el campeonato del mundo, con un 4° puesto en Bahrein y un 3° lugar en Imola. Su rendimiento ha estado a un nivel no antes visto en él.

Lando Norris es un piloto inglés de apenas 21 años de edad. Debutó con McLaren en el año 2019. Ya en su segundo año con el equipo McLaren, demostró tener la madurez y solidez sufifciente para pelear constantemente con puntos, llegando a igualar a su compañero Carlos Sainz en muchas oportunidades.
Lando ha empezado el 2021 con buen pie. No solo ha conseguido un podio en Imola partiendo desde el 7° lugar, sino que lo ha hecho superando a su compañero, el experimentado Daniel Ricciardo, además de superar a las dos Ferrari. Ricciardo parece aún no adaptarse del todo a su nuevo auto, y a pesar de empezar la carrera por delante de Lando, este le superó y llegó hasta el 3° lugar, mientas que Ricciardo llegó 6°.
Lando Norris is an English driver who is just 21 years old. He made his debut with McLaren in 2019. Already in his second year with the McLaren team, he proved to have the maturity and solidity enough to constantly fight with points, reaching to match his teammate Carlos Sainz on many occasions.
Lando has started 2021 on the right foot. Not only did he get a podium at Imola starting from 7th place, but he did it by overtaking his teammate, the experienced Daniel Ricciardo, as well as outperforming the two Ferraris. Ricciardo still does not seem to be fully adapted to his new car, and despite starting the race ahead of Lando, Lando overtook him to 3rd place, while Ricciardo finished 6th.
A diferencia de Ricciardo, el español Carlos Sainz parece haberse adaptado más rápido a su nuevo auto. Ha conseguido colocarse justo detrás de su compañero Charles Leclerc, habiendo partido en el medio de la parrilla. Ferrari, tiene un auto muy sólido en comparación a 2020. Han situado a sus dos autos 4° y 5° en la carrera de Imola, y su rendimiento pobre de 2020 parece haber quedado atrás. Leclerc es otro de los jóvenes talentos de la Fórmula 1, aunque este año se ve lejos e pelear por el campeonato, es muy probable que lo haga en el futuro. Pero me parece que Carlos Sainz tiene una oportunidad para demostrar que él también es un piloto ganador, de alguna manera lo relaciono con Massa, quien fue capaz de superar a Raikkönen hace más de una década.

Al final de la temporada sabremos quien es el mejor del resto, aunque esta pelea parece estar entre pilotos específicos: Norris, Leclerc, Sainz, Ricciardo, y podríamos sumar a Gasly, quien no ha tenido la oportunidad de brillar este año. Lando Norris tiene una gran oportunidad este año de colocarse como un piloto muy valioso en el mercado. En lo personal, veo a Norris como un futuro campeón del mundo, quizás sea muy temprano para decirlo, pero todo depende el piloto inglés.
At the end of the season we will know who is the best of the rest, although this fight seems to be between specific drivers: Norris, Leclerc, Sainz, Ricciardo, and we could add Gasly, who has not had the opportunity to shine this year. Lando Norris has a great opportunity this year to position himself as a very valuable driver in the market. Personally, I see Norris as a future world champion, maybe it is too early to say, but everything depends on the English driver.
